:banghead2: if we beat GA and Bama, and lose to KY....oh lord.

Kentucky should have a great offense this year. I bet they will beat somebody big at home and being the last game of the season they might really be ready for the Vols.

It's nice to see the enthusiasm of the new posters here.

Just imagine what they will be like after a month on here.

We will have us a little TVA jr.

i don't disagree that KY should/could be improved offensively this year, the defense???? not so much.

KY has a history of playing us tough.

all of this i know. but if we are seriously not capable of beating KY, today, then we definitely don't stand a chance against GA or Bama.

i don't think we're going to be world beaters, but i just can't say that we're going to lose 6-7 games this year.

9-3, with 10-2 or 8-4 best/worst case depending on the breaks we get or don't get.

I agree that Bama and Georgia will be better teams than Kentucky. I think the Vols will be better than kentucky as well, but being on the road for a game that could decide whether or not Kentucky is bowl eligible could be dangerous. Also, Bama is such a big game that the Vols will be ready for that one.

i don't disagree that we may not be any better, record wise, than last year, but the offense, actually has a chance to be better. the oline should be better, a sr qb, and 3 deep at RB. if any of the slew of WR's can step up in summer/fall, the offense could surprise. but right now, all unproven....so we'll have to wait and see....

What makes you think the offensive line will be better this year? Our offensive line was atrocious last year, and we lost possibly our two best offensive linemen from last year. Our offensive line play has also been getting progressively worse for about the last 6 years. We had the same three running backs last year, and we recorded the fewest rushing yards per game since the 1960's, so I don't see that as anything to hang your hat on either. Ainge was very good last year, but with a completely new wide receiver corp, he will be extremely lucky to duplicate his numbers from last year.
