IIRC, his mom passed away this year and he was told to take the season/semester off. Has anyone heard any updates as to whether he will be enrolled in the Spring...or is it all in limbo at this point?

Hope he's here in the spring, cause he's a big hoss, and I personally think he could have been our starting RT after a redshirt year, maybe. He has the perfect frame and athleticism for it, plus drew some rave reviews from the camps he attended.

Great news if he enrolls in January. Kid has the same mean streak as Jones... having two of them on the line is good for UT.

Coalfield. He faces a huge jump in competition. Wouldn't expect much from him in the first couple of years.

doesn't mean a damn thing. jason whitten, heath miller, etc..... smalltown, not heavily recruited, play beyond expectations. Zach will be a good Vol.

Have you ever been to Wrightsville, GA? It was/is a dump of a 1A school that produced a Heisman Trophy winner and a National Championship for the hated Dawgs.

I love it when fans proffer their OPINION as fact. The guy has the prototypical OT frame and athleticism. Guards are typically the guys who are a bit shorter, stocky builds and don't have the footspeed or wingspan to be an OT.

I suspect he will get a first look at OT, and since he'll be a full season behind Hall, he will probably be his backup (or Richmond's) going into the fall. Incoming freshman, Ryan Johnson, will probably be the backup on the other Tackle spot. Kendrick will probably go back to OG, backing up Jones....and that position will be the deepest on the entire OL. Boulware will probably backup Robertson. Weisman will probably backup Thomas at C, and Raulerson...who knows?

I hope Charles Mosley moves back to DT, so we can have plenty of big men in the rotation on that side. Right now, we would only have KMac and Tuttle with the kind of size you need in the SEC. We really could use Mosley and Kmac to plug up the middle when we know teams are trying to run on us.

Yeah...that's why he went to all those camps....to compete with the best DL prospects. Only way to prove to schools he has the goods. He's also a repeat Mr. Tennessee award winner.

Anyone have any updates on this kid? I haven't heard much and with Thanksgiving here, it's gotta be tough for him and his family.

Kid has talent and hope to see him wearing the orange soon.

No doubt the first holiday season without a loved one is tough. He should be here in time for spring ball unless something has changed.

Stewart has been benching over 500 for a while now. Look at him next to Jack Jones and you'll see he is quite a bit larger. Guy is a beast and had he played in a larger system he would have been a 4 star recruit.
Wouldn't be surprised to see him get a look at DT, whicheck is where he really excelled in HS.

It really depends how much training he has been able to maintain while away from football.
