Not sure. the spirits seem to be different that last year.


I remember sitting in gibbs last year and the team looked undetermined after ucla....told nick reviez good game this morning going to class and i got....

"yea it was a rough one, but we got florida now, time to get ready."

Exactly. We need to be trying to build the guy up as much as we can, regardless as to whether we think it is futile or not. The coaches already have their work cut out for them, they shouldn't have to work against the "fans" as well.

With Crompton its like GOLF and the driving range....
We all hit em long and straight on the Driving Range
Then the first hole comes up and that Fairway gets real narrow....
Same with Crompton...Practice he is on the Driving Range
Game time.....Narrow Fairway and the game gets to fast for him...
Crompton will play one more game as a Vol and that will be it....
Stephens will be the starter by Ohio....
So Crompton I hope you play balls out this weekend you will need a miracle buddy...

You don't have to have ever played a down of football in your life to see that Crompton is lacking as a leader and QB. He is what he is and everyone can see it, doesn't matter if you're a casual observer who knows little about football or an NFL quaterback, it is obvious to everyone.

We can't do anything to help him in this respect, I had hoped our coaching staff could but it doesn't look hopeful at this point.

I agree we don't need to boo him every bad pass. At the same time it should and always will be unacceptable for us to have QB play this poor at UT. The way he has played so far in meaningful games he would be hard pressed to beat out other QB's at directional schools.

I feel sorry for a team that plays thier hearts out and crapton throws the ball to the other team!!!.....Its monday and knowing he will play at Florida still makes me sick....any therapist on vol nation?? :ermm:

I may or may not see the game this weekend. I'll be at a camping ground with my son. I may or may not be able to break away to watch the misery.

I will watch as much as I can before off to another game. I was sick to my stomach listening to the game on XM Saturday. If the game was not bad enough Kesling is the worst yet. If Crompton is slow with the plays then Bob is hours behind on the calls. It is time for a change there too. John Ward he is not nor will ever be...This is the week I have a BD and Florida has ruined it so many times I don't want to think. Maybe the team should know that they could give an old lady a really fine present to win on Saturday....I would be ever so pleased.

I could say it from my riding mower, boat, roof, porch, doghouse...still wouldn't make it any less true.

Crompton should have transferred to UTC, not BJ the quitter.

Voldaddy, You're right! We all want JC to great. We're rooting for him. We could have a great team if he plays well.

But the fact is that when he drops back to pass, it's 50/50 whether the closest man to the ball will be a defensive back. We're going on 2 seasons hoping and not understanding what's the deal?
