I know our appeal(s) were rejected but weren’t we going to make a final push to make him immediately eligible?

Still pending. We have submitted our final appeal, but I wouldn't expect an answer till early January. Slim chance it gets overturned.

Yes. I think there is a chance still; however, because of the flack from Geno A. of Ct womens BB on the transfer of a guard here to there, they would probably wait till maybe late Dec if the are to allow Plavsic, imho. The NCAA seems to be more of the mindset these days in not so much movement due to the plethora of players entering the transfer pool in a sports vs in the past.

They better create a fast track transfer department capable of handling large volume quickly after allowing players to be paid by apparel manufacturers. Any player who thinks he is the greatest and is not getting enough playing time will be looking to move.

The guy from Memphis is able to play. Why not our guy?

If this is a serious question the answer is they aren’t close to the same kind of thing.

The guy from memphis by rule was eligible to play. He lost that right by accepting money but the key difference is he was eligible before

Our guy isn’t eligible to be play by transfer rule. He needs an exception and hasn’t proved a reason worthy of getting one yet.

So for those saying if he would have just taken $ he’d be eligible that’s wrong

Yea it's better to do something that's not permitted especially from a Coach and family that knew money was given before the kid was signed . Knowing that coach was a booster .. Coach knew that he gave money when he took job and should have known that was a red flag . He didn't care .. he gets off Scott free .. kid only sits 12 games .. our kid follows a coach to Arizona cause of not knowing anybody.. thinking coach would watch after him .. coach leaves because of coach change and the kid is not allowed to come back close to where he knows people .. has to sit whole year .. yea that's fair huh ...

I’m not defending memphis at all just Pointing out the obvious major difference in the two cases. It’s really apples to oranges

I think wiseman paying the $ back and 12 games is pretty stiff and a fair penalty

Now for Penny and memphis I think they should get hammered

well, Coach/AD Fulmer has a problem with the NCAA's transparency and so do I...the NCAA needs to be disbanded...as least there is a chance Plav could play next season...:D

GO BIG ORANGE...BEAT MEMPHO!

Where did the early January timeline come from?

Just based on past timelines with other similar situations as well as the holiday season coming up. I'm not anticipating an answer next week, and if that's the case I highly doubt you get an answer the week of Christmas. Thus, you're looking at early January before conference play starts.

Is playing for the Devil not enough reason for a transfer waiver? NCAA done gone to he11 in a hand basket. 😉
