Any news on Bryce Browns visit?

The only thing BB has said publicly "against" UT is that our OL is not talented enough. Since the our 2009 class is almost done, there is no way we can lift our OL talent to a new level. But our O-linemen gave him the most positive message I can think of: "We work extremely hard, and we are confident that any RB will flourish behind us."

Wasn't it "any RB behind us will rush for 1,000 yards."?

It says on his profile that BB got a 17 on his ACT and Oku got a 16..... Are you kidding me? If you put B for every anwer you will get a 12.

No one said you had to be a Rhodes Scholar. Just do your job on the field, get a BS in underwater basket weaving. and go to the NFL. All we need is 4 or 5 years of hard work on the field.

That's all good and well to say but that hasn't exactly been the case the last few years, in fact the exact opposite. I do however expect the line play to improve this season simply because of better coaching and conditioning, depth may be a concern though.

Wait. 07-08 Ainge only got sacked 4 times all season. I'd say the line fell apart under the (lulz) "Clawfense"

Most of that had to do with cutcliffes pre-snap read system adn ainge's quick decision/release to throw it away. Our running game wasn't that spectacular in 07. It was solid, but nothing epic.

Look at the rushing stats in that time frame, we couldn't rush for a 1st down twice on 3rd and 1 against Air Force. By years end we were having to try and throw the ball for 1st downs on 3rd and 1's and 3rd and 2's against KY and Vandy for crying out loud. Clawson's system didn't help any but our OL's run blocking stunk before he got here.

If CLK wants him, we will get him. This guy has a motor that never stops and will be known as the best recruiter in the SEC very soon.

What can Brown do for you? Ask Lane...

i'm guessing that volball333's mother got on his account and is typing nice things about clk in order to get us to stop picking on her son.

Both of these guys are outstanding in their own way. I have a high ACT score, but would not do nearly as well as these two on a strength and agility test.

It takes all types.

Truth is you basically have to have a 2 back system to be successful, especially in the SEC, so Bryce Brown would only make Lennon Creer better. With our QB situation there will be plenty of carries to go around.

Not only the fact that there is no such thing as a D1 team that still uses a single tailback, it will take time for Brown to master his blocking assignments. That is a big part of the reason Jamal Lewis did not play more at the beginning
