I don't buy the he's built relationships down there. They get alot of the best kids from Fl because they are FL. He has really gotten his best recruits outside of FL. Like Harvin. Drayton was supposed to have all these ties to FL but not much has come from that. Monte Kiffin is the biggest name we will have whoever we hire to get us players out of FL. I think we can do alot better than Gonzales. IMO.

You have to remember...UF doesn't have a monopoly down there.

You are right...UF is a big draw, but a lot of kids relate to who is recruiting them. They are the face of the University to them.

So what your saying is Meyer will let him go no questions asked because, FL recruits FL?

If that is the case have the plane ready.

I think Meyer wants him to stay but like drayton if he leaves so be it. If Meyer really actually thought that he couldn't recruit without Gonzales he would be Ass. head coach, OC, something. I think he is a good coach. But there are alot of good coaches. We want the best. I don't think he is that. Kiffin has said a number of times we will have the best there is. His words.

They will keep the coaches where they are until the status quo changes. Look no further than Garner for proof of that.

Can't change your mind, and am not trying...

But Gonzales would be a great hire.

Blake is a far off possibility.

But you have to remember Monte could be a key card. Either who he knows, or just his name in general.

I am not saying I am right about this. It is just I wouldn't be blown away buy the hire. Maybe he is the best WR coach/recruiter out there.

Do you think he is the best WR coach/recruiter in the country?

I don't know. I just want to here more about him. Something I haven't seen reading up about what he has done and who he recruited.

The very best can always be objectively debated no matter who it is.

With that said...no I don't think he is the very best. But he would have a relationship with the HS coaches in FL that he has dealt with while down there. That's how pipelines are opened, and there aren't many better pipelines than the Florida area.

That's why I think itd be a good hire.
