Any Juco players left

Excuse my ignorance. I did not know that. Guess they are about the same. I was only taking information off an article I read about him in juco and turning his life around. I stand corrected but I view both as equals. Cannot consider one without the other.

No problem.

I think desperate times call for desperate measures and would take either of these guys under a zero tolerance provision. Both are much more dynamic than Neal or Lane.

I highly doubt Jones would go against what he has been saying he wants for the program though.

I won't be surprised if one of them ends up at WKY though.

Our current top backs are solid: R Neal averaged 4.5 ypc and M Lane was 5.5 YPC.....not bad considering the competition and offensive scheme Chaney ran. I think we're in good shape until '14 recruiting.

No reason to panic.

Is there any juco players we could go get? We need D-line guys and pass rushers. Also is there any ways we would offer Michael Dyer a scolly? We have scollys to offer, I think we only signed 21.

From what I read his release was conditional and he could not transfer to certain programs. I`m not sure if these conditions are still in effect. But if they are I would think he could not transfer to any SEC school. If he can go anywhere I think we should offer him and tell him if he at least sneezes in the wrong direction he will be gone.

Don't know where to enter this info, but feel it should be out there somewhere. The Orlando Sentinel on Thu listed the #28th ranked player in Fl, Darien Williston , DE, 6-3, 223 as Undecided.

Yeah, I would rather see them add O line and D line from JUCO than Dyer or Crowell.

If the opportunity arose, I wouldn't be opposed to either them, past transgressions aside though.

Why don't we take in Crowell, Dyer and a few other "island of misfit college players".

We could treat it like survivor with special competitions like keeping you nose clean, maf and engis class and my favorite: spin the wheel* (robbery, guns, battery, menancing, drugs, deer antler spray, beeocht slappin and beer bottle toss).

Each week we can eliminate one player and/or trade him out for a walk-on. lol

*note: for bipolar players, all personalities must be eliminated prior to removing such player from the team.

Couldn't agree more. Lane and Neal are a good 1-2 punch that will be even better in their second year under CJG. I'd like to see us go after a few JUCO linebackers and defensive linemen though...

Crowell (former GA back) has apparently straightened up in juco and looking to get back in D1. he would be a Greta back to have if given a second chance and could stay straight. He was a former 5 star that would be an impact immediately.

Read crowells recent tweets mostly about drugs dont think hes straightend up to much hes not helping his self to much with his crazy tweets.

Never thought that much of Dyer but he's probably a little better than what we have. I hate to knock on Neal and Lane but they both just seem to be missing one aspect of being above average RB's. Cant put my finger on it exactly though.

Yea it was called Dooley

I don't follow twwets of players so would not know but that is horrible that a kid cannot straighten up enough to potentially make millions at the next level. A shame.

Lane has moves, but not much speed. Neal has straight line speed, but no moves, and neither one has ever broken a tackle. Still, I think that Lane can be good with some space to run in.

my thoughts exactly.
you take away that big bowl game run I doubt he has this high a stock.
that being said i think jones has some wiggle room and an extra scholly or two might as well take a gamble

I am not saying we should take Dyer but as a freshman he was right there with lattimore and he ended with with over 1000 yards. Good football player and better than what we have for sure. He also ran the ball well in the spread. So was pretty good but who knows if he still has the skills and if we will take the risk.

If he graduates with an associates degree from a JUCO, he can go wherever he wants.
