Any issues with digital tickets?

The line at gate 21 was very long, but went surprisingly fast. Seeing how long it was an hour before kick off, I was worried we might miss the band, but we were in and in our seats less than 15 minutes after we got in line. I was very impressed.

UT had some of its athletic department staff members in green shirts talking to people in line to make sure they were ready to go. It wasn’t low level staffers either, apparently people throughout the department from secretaries all the way up to senior administration are going to rotate doing that the first few weeks to interact with fans and reduce the number of issues once people actually get up to the scanner.

My tickets did not scan, and from 2pm on could not be accessed, we weren't let in.. at first. Waited in line from 625 until 7pm only to be turned away, told to go see a manager? Finally some older lady at gate 14 let us just go after seeing my confirmation number and purchased 4 seats and the cost on ticketmaster email. Absolutely a mess. I would guess alot of people missed the pregame and first two scores. I will be calling UT Monday.

I stood in line 55 minutes to get in, it was a cluster muck. When we finally got to the gate UT had already scored. This was the line behind me as I entered the gate. Everyone around me was pizzed, hot, and complaining.

I was one of the lucky ones that got in without a hitch. I heard OrngeJuice's troubles, and I don't blame anyone who had problems getting in for being PO'd. For those who saw paper tickets, my understanding is that they were only issued to those who went to Will Call and paid extra when they had problems with their digital tix.

BTW Much appreciation to OrngeJuiceJones for hosting an open tail gate party! Had a great time!

My son called at lunch and said it was a cluster where they went in...they were in Section O but i didnt ask which gate. He said the biggest problem was so many people didnt understand that they needed to download the tickets to their phone. Most seemed to have them opened in the App but not on their phone.

I guess it was different at each gate and time

some people had to go to ticket office and get a paper ticket; were in this process for almost an hour;
one problem I see is if you want to give away your tickets or sell them. another when I take a child with me I always have them keep their ticket in their pocket in case they get lost in the crowd before the game and in the stadium

Yeah we had 3 tickets and when we went to Gate 10, they scanned them, and all 3 read access denied. So we had to go back to the ticket booth towards Gate 21 and stand in line for 20 minutes. After hearing our issue they basically said they didn't have a fix and that they would go ahead and let us in. There was a long line of us with this issue... Felt bad for the workers because it wasn't their fault and were getting yelled at over a decision people higher up at UT made. Seemed like an absolute mess.

So. There are some people who don’t carry a mobile phone, and other who won’t carry a smart phone. I am guessing you can get a paper ticket if you squawk enough, even if you have to print it yourself.

Zero issues getting my 6 in and through. i just made sure they are in my google wallet. my phone actually kept notifying me they were there so all i had to do was click on them to pull them up.
