Any inside info on Fulmers meeting with team?

They're probably all too shocked to say anything. I mean they, like all of us, actually saw the egg heads in charge do something most felt made sense, getting Currie off the road.

Kevin Mays was there during the transition from Majors to Fulmer. He was a DL under Majors and switched to OL in 1993 which was also Fulmer’s first full year as HC.

Players probably say there waiting fo r a trash can dance or brick stacking exercise. I’m sure they all looked around in awe if someone who seems like they meant what they said.

Unless Fulmer can sell a Peterson, Gundy, etc level of coach to rethink it and come to UT, there's very little chance Mayes will come to UT. Just too much of a chit show t deal with. His top 3 are all capable of a championship with no doubts surrounding the roster or staff. Even if Mayes did come, it's going to take a few years to turn this roster over and around. Since he's not likely to RS, his choice is clear. Folks need to accept that and just turn the page on him.

We are in way better shape than when Dooley took over. A decent coach could get this team to 7-5 easily next year. The talent is there. No way Saban is still coaching in 4 years, so a very realistic chance UT could compete if we get great coaches in here.

I think if we can get Miles would be the only way we could have a possibility of getting Mays and then its not 100%. ive always said you dont dictate a fire/hire on recruiting class or a certain recruit,you get the best man for the job and everything else will fall in place. Out of his top 3 i hope he goes to Ohio state i dont want to play him every year and just tired of Clemson getting Tennessee guys.

I know nothing about Mays but UGA is in the SEC championship in year 2 of Kirby. Kirby isn’t some prodigy.

They're is still Smart, Malzahn and now Mullen to deal with.

Not Mention Muschamp is undefeated againt UT...

I had class w Kevin and he was just a great guy. Very genuine and down to earth. If I recall correctly he was a good DL but great OL. He would have played OL in NFL had it not been for injuries.
IMO, the switch from DL to OL has zero impact on Cades recruitment and Kevin will allow and respect Cades decisions.
