I keep refreshing all kinds of sources trying to see or hear what Doeren has decided?
Anybody heard anything at all?
Really hope he says no and we look at Tee, Morris, Steele, or even Kiffin.

Put yourself in his shoes. You have friction with your boss but a fan base that's somewhat meh in terms of expectations and passions. At UT, he knows Currie is under fire and the fans have already labeled you a loser and not worthy of the job. You also face much more scrutiny and expectations in Knoxville. You get a raise and extension that maybe puts you close in terms of the package and which choice would you make? I'd sit tight and stay where I was. Better to stay with the devil you know vs the one you don't.

Good Point. Our fanbase will be calling for his job if he doesn't win 7 or 8 his first season. Not worth it.

About an hour ago Currie was spotted in the HC aisle at Walmart. Sources say he’s currently in the checkout line.

:rock::rock:After all the events of yesterday including the chants of UT students"Fire Currie" at the basketball game last night and no apparent coaching searching news today, what is the actual situation. I even did a read of the Raleigh, NC newspaper moments ago. It sort of indicated that Doeren has some sort of offer. The amazing thing is an article on the football contract between Doeren and the NCS AD that appears to show considerable differences between the two. Rumor has it that the AD at NCS would like to dump Doeren on someone else. As an opinion AD Currie needs to resign now or be fired. I would favor Philip Fulmer as an interim until such time as an AD of credibility could be obtained...no more million dollar buy outs on him either. Can anyone give credible information as to what is happening?

Is there a chance he's better than what he has to work with?? Apparently he wants money for his assistants too??

Brice still says he’s turned it down. Hasn’t heard otherwise this morning. He didn’t tweet or post. Personal contact.

credibility at his point. I agree with your suggestion and have been saying the same thing for a week now. It is the only way to bring credibility back to the program. Make Fulmer AD, or interim coach, bring in top coordinators such as Tee or Steele as an on the job trial for HC for a year. After next season promote one to head coach, move Fulmer to AD. and move forward rebuilding this team and program.
