Any doubt about this being the worst loss under Pearl?

Two things better come out of this game:

1. Skylar McBee's closest experience to a basketball court the rest of the season is at TRecs
2. A team that actually wants to give a **** in games that may not mean as much as others

A few points:
1) CBP is playing way too many players. We need to play 8-9 and stop playing pearl and mcbee. Get harris and goins 30 mins a game and stop playing pearl in last 5 mins of tight games.
2) That was the shot we got with 3.3 seconds left - tatum fall away 30 footer. Get Harris or Hopson going towards the hoop with the ball and get a foul or a good look.
3) Has any team ever gone from top ten to out of top 25 in one week. Wow! Worst back to back games I have ever seen under pearl.
4) Even kevin o'neill and buzz peterson were disgusted by this game.

This is the worst TEAM we've lost to in the Pearl era, no doubt. But is this worse than the loss to Southern Cal last year? It was a better opponent, but it was an uglier loss. Tough call by my eyes.

OH NOES...we just aren't very good. We have been playing like we did against Indy the last two games. Hopson is a head case, and our offense is pathetic. Bruce needs to get them back on track mentally or this is just gonna get worse. That whole game was just a disgrace. :pukeb:

This. Especially #1.
I'm starting to lose a lot of respect for CBP because of his glaring inability to even resemble being unbiased in his subbing. Harris is, hands down, the best player on the team, and CBP regularly subs in his own incapable spawn for him. Spawn Pearl is garbage (at this level), plain and simple. If his last name were Smith, Jones, Baker, etc., he wouldn't even be on the team. The few times he makes a decent/good play, it never takes more than 3 more trips down the court for him to cancel it out, and then some.

I really think hunt hit the nail on the head w/his first point. Pearl is playing too many players for too many minutes. I believe this is keeping some key players (namely Harris) from being able to get into a rhythm. Furthermore, having so many different 5-man combinations is keeping them from getting into a rhythm as a team; they should each be able to know each other's moves before they make them, and CBP's sporadic subbing is making it near impossible for them to develop the type of chemistry they need to play to their potential as a team. He needs to stick with a primary rotation of Hopson, Goins, Deathstar, Cam, Harris, Fields, Golden, and 1 or 2 others NOT named Pearl or McBee.

Go Vols!

If Charlotte had a descent team the loss wouldn't hurt so bad but anybody wants to beat us play a zone against us and the chances of us making the threes to beat you well we will see.We still have no half court offense.Make all the excuses you want but Pearl better show up to coach Tuesday or Kevin O will give him a lesson
