I haven't pulled up the schedule yet. Any games worth watching?

I was wanting to go see Stewart from coalfield play. Thought I remembered that he was playing a good team with someone else of note on it.

Thanks StoVol, I'll check into that one.

You may have to check by conferences or by county. I tried looking just in genral for high school football games for the week of 6 Sep and couldn't get anything to come up and I know that's not right. My home county in East Tennessee has 5 high schools and the Tri-Cities area has several schools-too many to name. Good luck.
My Cyclones lost to the Hilltoppers this past Friday night 40-35. Not good!

West Maryville or Campbell County Central would be my picks if I were in East Tenn. Steward from Coalfield can play and is a great kid but many weeks they are playing lighter competition and smoking teams so my choices would be competitive games. I don't know who Coalfield plays Friday, however.

I have no doubt Stewart will be a solid Vol, no doubt whatsoever. None.

I've not had time to look this weeks games up, but if West plays Murville it's gonna be hard to top that one....regardless who else plays. Hope that helps.

I was pulling big time for E-Town during that game, hard to believe they lost that game by less than a yard. Game of the year in the east by my vote imo

Cherokee high school in Rogersville. By your response I can tell you thats why you shouldn't watch it.

Proud CHS Class of 1994 Grad here.

Don't understand the hate for the Chiefs??? :nono:

Rogersville is not nearly as bad a little town as some other places in TN and football is historically ok to watch there. It could be worse.... at least it's not that other Hawkins County school or Snobbyns Bennett.

I'm Cherokee class of 2010 I'm not hating they just need to get a new football coach and they'd be better.

Ballsy....

Sadly, I don't know of any "good" games this week. Being a fan/alum of a 6A school, there aren't any "good" games in conference, except 1 in week 10, and that's just the nature of how the conferences are aligned. Unless you schedule some strong OOC games, you have 9 weeks of cupcakes...imho.

Yeah DB has started scheduling teams from Chat out of necessity and hopefully to better prepare them to make a deeper state playoff run. Science hill should do the same

Campbell County vs Anderson County has been an amazing football game, and still is. Both 3-0

CCHS 21
ACHS 26
1:30 to go in the 4th QTR

CCHS has ball inside ACHS 30.

Over 8000 in attendance. I would say that's a big game.

Friday night Nov 1: District 1 Div 1, Class 4A-Sullivan South 9-0 and 5-0 in District vs Elizabethton 8-1 (loss to Johnson City) and 5-0 in the District. GO CYCLONES!
Cyclones won last year 21-7 but face a tough East team this year that has only given up 14 points in dstrict games. Cyclones have given up 38.

It is also the annual Science Hill - DB hate week. The two teams square off this Friday night for the Big 7 conference championship. Both teams are undefeated in league play. DB currently has a 19 game winning streak over DB, but Science Hill has been showing improvement each year for the past few seasons. An estimated 8000 fans came out for this game last year, not reason not to see a repeat of that number.
