No, but why word it that way? And wouldn't you wanna bring him to Knoxville to sign things to avoid Strong V.2
If they have been talking/visiting since Thursday to some degree, would it be possible it's already signed? It's Easter weekend. Hart and company head back to Knoxville signature in hand with plans for a Monday morning presser after White enjoys the holiday weekend with his family?
It's my story, and I like it.![]()
I doubt that even if Hart has his guy, that he would plan on bringing him back to Knoxville the night before one of the two biggest religious holidays and family days. It will be done on Monday.
The buyout seems to be the problem. CMW wants job security wants time to get his guys in Knoxville.

A buyout similar to Zo would be fine I would imagine. While I like White's resume thus far as a basketball coach, the fact is he has 3 years at LaTech to go off of. If his current buyout is 400-500 grand, I'd think making his 1st contract at UT 1.1 mil a year for 5 years with a buyout of 2-3x what his current one is would show UT is being very reasonable. IMO he will have time to get his guys. He'll get 3 years I'd imagine no matter what his record is at UT. I doubt Hart would do anything till after year 3.
Either you're lucky or you may have the best info on VN. You mentioned Hart being in LA way before anyone else, and while I'm not sure if that's where Hart was it does appear he was talking to White. You then say this, and in the update from Hubbs he points out this very issue, the buyout.
Ok so whose your next choice? What I'm hearing DH has accepted his demands and still hasn't agreed...
Well that's no good lol
My next choice would be Howland, assuming the NCAA hasn't told schools to stay the heck away. If we were already down to Hart, and "A" list candidates showed no interest, we would have to go way down the list to find someone probably.
Howland should be reasonably priced I would guess
I can't help but think with all the other schools avoiding Howland like they are, maybe his salary demands just do not fit his current value in the marketplace with all the red flags?
