Anxiety Dreams

My recurring anxiety dream is that I need to protect friends and/or loved ones from villains, but my punches have no power. I put everything into them, and it's like I'm under water or something.

I've had this. I've also has dreams where I'm trying to run from something but it feels like I'm running underwater.

No, should I? I blame on it being a cold war kid.

Art Bell stopped broadcasting several years ago. He left Coast to Coast AM and even though they still use his name, he has pretty much disowned the show now. He can't stand how it is now.

I don't have the powerless punches dream but I do have dreams where I have a gun that I have to use and it either keeps jamming or no bullets.

I also have dreams where I'm with a group of people and something bad is about to happen, like a tornado or bad people coming or even a zombie invasion. But no one will listen to me. A few I'm literally cursing out family members to get then to take me seriously.

Not me. Probably means I'm a psycho, but the guns in my dreams always work... I have more confirmed kills than Chris Kyle. I've also been shot a few times.

Around a week ago the old lady told me she needed to take a break and needed some space. I wont go into details but it is entirely my fault. Every night since then I have had dreams about her leaving me for good. I guess those qualify as anxiety dreams.

Sorry to hear this. Prayers.

Thanks, but like I said, it truly is all my fault. As a man, if I'm really wrong, I have no problem admitting it to my woman when she tells me I'm wrong. The good news is I didn't cheat, or do something that's just completely unforgiveable. I have that going for me, plus she didn't/hasn't actually officially ended it, end it, ya know?

I've never been able to fly in my dreams, but I could swim through the air when something was after me.

It was pretty cool actually.

Last night, I was fighting a ninja ( I was mostly running down hallways ) who was dead set on throwing this insane weapon contraption at my retreating head. I don't think it is a real weapon, but I did an image search for "like nunchaku but with blades" and this mofo showed up first page:

This isn't the ninja in my dreams, but the weapon is close. The bad part is, the stupid things were like a boomerang when he hucked them at my head so they kept coming back to him for another try.

A dream I had this month.

I was stuck in a evil haunted house that has the power to possess people and make them callous murderers Lucky for me I did escape the house, pushed someone out of the way that attempted to hinder my exit, and jumped off a cliff into the water.
This was high like I'm thinking same amount of feet off the ground as the Golden Gate Bridge, or the water fall from the fugitive movie. I did survive the high jump into the water.

I imagine this is trying to communicate some fear I'm having.

I took chantix years ago to stop smoking. The most vivid/technicolor dreams I've ever experienced. Most vivid was I was in an airport, it was flooding and I was taking a wiz in the bathroom. Trout and bass swimming everywhere. But I didn't have my rod and reel with me.

Interesting thread.

I've had dreams, similar to the powerless punches ones, where I've been in a situation where everyone around be is being shot down, and I'm invincible. Yet when I walk up to the shooter, I can't do anything. My arms are locked, and I can't get close enough.

Last night I had one where it was a weird combination of high school memories and this idea of restrictions. A lot of students, including me, were getting picked for floag football. Goes on for a while, and then I finally get to play. But my arms lock up, and they are stuck to my sides at the elbow. Everyone laughs and then my dream shifts to a completely new scene where I'm someone I've never seen before. I'm an older man, who has the same problem with the locked arms. I'm some kind of janitor at a hospital, and everyone harasses me for a few minutes before I wake up.

Strange dreams that really stand out to me. I've had the standard falling or running dreams, but never the locked arm stuff.

If I was a fan of calipari's team I'd be having restriction nightmares too.

Had an episode of sleep paralysis last night. Had I not read about it in this thread before it would have really freaked me out. But I realized what was going on. Trying to get out of it was like trying to get out of quicksand. It was crazy. I think it happened because I heard a sound outside and it was timed just so that I had just fallen asleep and I woke up but my body didn't.

I had one last week. I've had them before, but it still freaks me out. The next day I had a spell of something that my wife says was a panic attack. I think it was all because I'd been taking theraflu and mucinex. Just felt heart racing and had to pee like every 20-30 minutes for a couple of hours. Had to be all the medicine that caused both, cause I literally wasn't freaking out about anything. Or the sleep paralysis caused it. Idk, confused me. I just know I wasn't stressed or worrying over anything.

Three years ago I got wasted and dreamed I smoked a cigar in bed, turned out I was sleepwalking drunk and actually lit a cigar in bed next to my wife, from then on she doesn't let me get wasted.
