From my memory he took a job elsewhere when he left. But yeah we need someone at that position. Perfect person would be Inky but he probably makes too much on his speaking to take the job at this point.

Does Inky live in Knoxville? Only drawback to that is if the next coach makes Inky feel like Antone felt, they would need to figure out how to get the coach outta town fast enough. Antone, most figure can handle himself. But Inky? He had inspired so many that the outrage might be hard to predict.

I think he would return in the same role if asked.

He was making around $60K a year and wasn’t paid to travel with the team go away games. Apparently Butch put in for a raise for him but the AD turned it down. UGA copied us and created the same position in in their athletic dept and pays their guy around $200K. If I saw that I’m only making 1/3 of what someone else is doing the same thing then no way in heck am I coming back. UT went cheap again. Is anyone surprised?

When I think of a VFL, I think of Inky Johnson. Great role model and great person, imo.
