Not a fan of Butch as of late but this should be the last thing on his mind right now. We need to worry about winning games that we should be winning.

If true, this has a Dooleyesque ring to it.

It's feeling more and more like 2012 all the time.

Soon.

"Butch took microphone in hand and said that after Tennessee offensive first downs this season he wants the South Side sitting fans to say “Rocky” and right after the North Side to say “Top”…. and then three claps by all."

I can understand former players not flying with the team. How many former players do we have in the 100's need a mighty large plane if even a third of them wanted to go.

This has very little to nothing to do with Butch Jones. This is on the sport administrator for football at Tennessee or the director of ops.

John Brice said it.

i still don't care. this is a 'non issue' as it relates to why we lost the game, why CBJ should be kept/fired. it's just more fodder for the torch and pitchfork crowd. nothing more.

it offers zero substance to the conversation.

it's "easy". that's all. say it...play on the reaction....say something else tomorrow........

On the Tony Basilio Show it was stated that Antone Davis was not allowed to travel with the team to Florida. It was also stated that Antone had to drive his personal car to ATL for the GA Tech game.

Butch Jones is in trouble if this is true.

Dooley required former players to get his nod before they showed up at the football facility to visit players.

Did that ever catch on?

Goodness gracious, let's see what else we can complain about. I understand the disappointment but does every thread have to be a complaint about something?

This is what happens when a coach is on the hot seat. Everyone starts building a "rap sheet" on him for every little conceivable thing.

Truth. We don't even know if he ever traveled on the team plane. Plus they may have put in extra restrictions for the Florida game due to the limited hotel rooms after Hurricane Irma. I'm not a Coach Jones apologist, but not sure we have the full picture here.

Isnt he employed as the VFL coordinator?

If he's employed and was working the Ga Tech game then I'm sure he was reimbursed .55 per mile, same as everyone else in the US who has to use their personal vehicle for work travel.

Is there a need for a paid VFL coordinator and is that person really needed at away games?

I'm sure Davis is very busy during the home games, but I have no idea why he would be needed at away games. If he isn't needed he should have to pay his own way.

Kind of sounds like the Assistant to the Regional Manager position at Dunder Mifflin.
