Sad. Bad deal
having swain and basillo as your primary torch bearers isn't exactly a ringing endorsement of not just stirring the pot.
they say things. people react. and they've managed to make careers out of it. and i don't hate swain. but he does tend to focus on tangents just for the sake of the reaction. i have zero use for Basillo.

Dude just stop acting like the things that happen at Tennessee happen everywhere. We are the only school with these issues and whinning fams, weird twitter habits etc. Let us be.lolI can tell you from hearing from a friend at Florida with first hand knowledge.....this stuff is not exclusive to Tennessee.
There are former players from every program that believe they are entitled to anything whenever they make a request because they are a former player.
It doesn't work that way particularly when you have changes in the athletic department, coaches, etc.
There is a priority and pecking order among former players the way there is among boosters.
If you are Peyton Manning, you ask, you get. If you are Philip Fulmer or Johnny Majors, you ask, you get. Eric Berry. Josh Dobbs who played for Butch, you ask, you get.
Other guys are down the list. Now, if Davis is a dude who has been there and participated on several occasions, that would bump him up. I don't know if he has or not.
But, some of these dudes don't ask for squat (just like a booster) until it's Florida week and then they want stuff. Well, everyone wants stuff Florida and Alabama week.
