The Vol For Life Program is a comprehensive player support and character education program. The four-year VFL curriculum focuses on the often-overlooked personal growth of the student-athlete, encompassing the following topics: character education, personal finance, life skills, career development, spiritual growth, community service, mental conditioning, personal branding, and navigating the social media landscape.

The ultimate goal of the VFL program, in Dooley's eyes, is to reshape the culture of the program into one that produces not only great players and teams, but even greater men.

The wheels are falling off the bus. Smart man to jump off.

It also sounds like they were trying to get him to quit all year. Not paying or helping him set up travel is pretty bad. Maybe they didn’t have the guts to let him go, but very fishy.

When you take over a team that is historically a top 10 program, you better win or you deserve to be shown the door. No more time can be given to Butch. He has proven time and time again, even going back to his days at Cincy, that he cannot win big games. He is an average coach at best, and one of the worst developers of talent many of us have ever seen

Like I said.... What does the VFL coordinator do? Im being serious. It sounds like sort of a nebulous position.

I'm not happy about this. It's not a cost thing, period. Charter's like this are negotiated to a fixed cost. They call Delta/United and say "how much for 7 flights on a 747 for 200 people?"

They give them a set price to keep planes in the air consistently. Hotel is the same. Win win for all.

This was a petty move meant to push Antone out and I'm not a fan of this at all.

On the grand scheme of things, who cares. Butch still sucks, team still sucks, why do we care about VFL staff ?

Why are you assuming Butch made him pay for his own travel expenses? Butch wouldn’t care, the AD would be the one paying for it and the only one who cares about $$$. Money didn’t come out of Butch’s wallet.

Currie is new and this is a new development, connect the dots?

Guy on 247 saying the VFL might be going away and some downsizing might happen. That doesn’t sound like Butch’s doing.

If Antone Davis has had to pay for all this trips because of Currie. And if there is yet more downsizing in football that I have heard might be happening and even the eliminating of the VFL program... we might need to replace Currie with Fulmer now before we hire a new coach. I'm disgusted more by the updated details of Davis' departure than anything.
