he made a lot of changes except the most important one...winning football games. You need to get back on your meds.

Negavols = vols that are unhappy with mediocrity. I am a Negavols through and through. I was around during the late 90's early 00's I know it seems like 100 years ago, but it wasn't. We can/need to be brought back to greatness again. Only change will do this, Jones and Currie are not the men to take us there.

If Jones is worth keeping, his team needs to start showing it. Two of the last three games the opponents were there to be beat and the team couldn't pull it off, both with not near the perceived "talent" that is on the Tennessee roster. If Jones does get fired, he sure as hell don't have any room to complain about not having a chance.

I truly hope this is because he has been offered a much better position elsewhere, one that he cannot pass on rather than it being Butch Jones related

What about no evidence of him recruiting? NO official visits on homecoming weekend. If he is not to be fired, he sure isn't trying very hard to improve the team for the future.

What has Butch done in 5 years to warrant getting one more? Hasn’t beat any team of significance, regularly loses to our rivals and is starring down a .500 record vs Vandy. He doesn’t need another to prove that he doesn’t belong at this level. Mac or USA sure but not SEC. If you want to cheer for him so bad, cheer for the team that he’s going to coach at his next stop.

If true Davis was required to make his own travel arrangements to away games, Currie should have stepped in and told Jones “he’s part of the program and we all travel together, PERIOD”.

I personally don't care if they fire Butch or not. I had supported him to this point. I will support the VOLS TEAM no matter what. My question is this; if those with this opinion make up the vast majority, why does this post only have 31 likes out of the over 1000 members online at this time. Support the team (aka players) and try to make the best of a bad situation.

He's probably resigning as he feels some type of way because of the way he feels he's been treated personally? Recall a few weeks ago he didn't get the travel arrangements with the team he wanted? If he let that get public you know there are a lot of other things really under his skin as well. Thanks Antone you were appreciated. Next let's see how Inky handles that position.

I appreciate the positives Butch has worked on just as much as you. And I hate the flack he is getting too.

But still, you can't avoid the fact that this is a performance based position. And much like McElwain being run off for lying, Butch's catch phrases makes his poor performance intolerable.

The Vols had to run out the clock to beat freakin UMass. We just lost to Kensucky. We have given him 5 years to build this program. If he were a Johnny Majors or a Phillip Fulmer, he might get tolerance from this fan base for an off year. But even they would get plenty of heat for this level of crap.

Sorry, but when Butch finally adjusted his staff this past off season, it was get it right or else. Under the circumstances, we weren't going to win every game, but the two I mentioned were must dominate game. Coming close to losing to UMass? Coming close to beating, of all teams, Kentucky? We aren't playing horse shoes here. Those are teams he should have left beaten and bloodied.

Yeah you can't fix stupid. But if you think this level of failure is tolerable, you are the stupid one.
