Ever think AD has another job or business opportunity lined up that is more attractive to him? Could be as simple as that. There is no real doubt that BJ is out as coach in no more than four weeks. Perhaps it was time for AD to move on.

What is so funny about all these post, not one can be proven, you speak of things that are said around a water cooler as if it were the truth..........Wow! the gullibility of people will never surprise me. Old saying "you can't fix stupid" and that pretty much fits many here.

IF they fire Butch, and I don't believe they will. That only tells me they don't have the spine to stick behind a man who has made many positive changes to UT Football.......and it doesn't always have to be W vs. L. A school that doesn't learn from it past mistakes will continue to make the same ones. Coach Jones is worth giving the time to build a program.

Come on now, he’s had 5 years and is more than obviously not a good football coach when it comes to the execution of game plan, development of players (yeah yeah, the off field piece is good and all but that’s only 1/2 the puzzle), and growth of Tennessee Football as an organization.

I don’t believe he’s a bad guy, or would harm a player intentionally, or anything else people want to pin on him, but you can’t be as absurd to think this man hasn’t been given enough time to prove he can coach at the highest level....he’s had time, he’s been bad...he needs to move on
