Then why aren't these actions condemned more than they are by the left? If what you say is true, why does the left continue to condemn only one side of this? Generally the white supremacist portion of the political spectrum.
If liberals despise this as much as you say they do, they should be fighting it rather than sitting passively on the sidelines. If it is only a select few causing trouble, shouldn't they be joining forces with the conservatives that have the right to free speech as well and pushing these troublemakers out? We can squabble later over this or that, but your side supports this through inaction and your side is just as guilty as they are by allowing it to continue.
MSNBCs Joe Scarborough ripped the University of California, Berkeleys response to the violence that broke out Sunday, when members of Antifa attacked peaceful protesters who were marching against Marxism.
This is an ongoing problem in Berkeley especially, where members of the far-left are using violence to shut down free speech and there, to shut down demonstrators, Scarborough said on Morning Joe Monday. Theyre fascists in their behavior. There is nothing anti-fascist about that.
Scarborough called Antifa out for hiding behind anonymity and said they were cowards for wearing masks. Take your mask off. Take your mask off because you have a history of beating people and hiding behind that mask, he said.
Scarborough also addressed the issue of free speech, and defended conservative author Ann Coulter.
He then turned his outrage to Berkeleys administration and asked who was responsible for letting these protests spiral out of control.
I agree with a lot of what Luther is saying, but I think we all too often lump everyone together based on the actions of a few. There are deplorables on the left, center and right. I am as guilty as anyone in making generalizations, but it does not help the dialogue and only increases the divide.
The violence in Berkeley yesterday was orchestrated by a small group of anarchists, people who want chaos and do not care about liberal ideals. Associating them with liberals is no more fair than saying all conservatives are white supremists. I was just speaking with a friend and she went yesterday to counterprotest and said it was great, but she left before the a**holes arrived.
I will now get off my soapbox.
Trump is the POTUS. Not really comparable to all people. Trump fostered an environment conducive to Charlottesville.

It's weird how Trump voters can be complete morons but also smart enough to pick up on codes and innuendos. Color me stupid because I didn't get any secret messages during the campaign.
Great post Norcal! I often take an extremist position on the PF to counterbalance the right wing extremists on here and to kind of offer an insight into how offensive and counterproductive extremist positions can be. I'm not sure the tactic is always effective, but it is kind of fun.

So you're saying you knew full good and well who ANTIFA was and what they were about all along? Duly noted Luther. We're on to you.
Dang, I lurk here a lot but I haven't seen many right wing extremists. Care to elaborate what positions you consider extreme right so we can understand your personal view on the political spectrum a bit better?
Extremism is always rooted in ignorance; with most every topic.
I did not good and well know who antifa was, and still really don't. They're maybe one tenth of the boogeyman you see them as. I view the alt right / white nationalist supremacist as a much larger and more dangerous group.
