Anthony Jordan (head official vs LSU)

I don't think the operator was directed to add time. The announcers and everyone else just assumed they would since it was obvious time should be added.

Where did you see this explanation? I'd like to read it, because I was furious at the idea that there wasn't more time added. With the clean catch GW got on the pass, imagine how much better of a look he could have gotten with more than twice the amount of time he actually had.

That is an enormous oversight, even more egregious than the foul called immediately before which prompted the review to begin with.

Early in the show (started at 2 CT) Jimmy said that the official came over to the clock operator after the review... held up 1 finger (not the middle one) on one hand and 4 fingers on the other and clearly said "one point four on the clock".

Wow, just wow. It's Jimmy Hyams, so grain of salt, but if true...wow.

The audio will be available here later if any one wants to hear (Hour 1 2-25-19). I think they usually get the audio posted pretty soon after 3 pm CT. Name of their show is Sportstalk not Sportsnight.

For those wondering, it did make it to Finebaum’s show. He weighed in and he says it wasn’t appropriate for Jordan to have that photo on social media and that any official that is a fan of a particular team should not officiate a game in which his favorite team is playing.

Hey Finebaum....Well, DUH!!

Pretty sure Anthony Jordan officiated in the NBA in the early 2000's, and they basically terminated him. Pretty bad when you can't cut it in the NBA where all you have to do is protect your stars.

How can they let the game restart without making sure the clock was correct? Seems like they just chose to ignore it and hoped nobody would catch it. That is pretty lame officiating.

I was listening to Bob and Bruce live.... but I just rewatched and took the screenshot above. The announcers said that they were going to reset the clock to 1.4 sec.... then as the free throws were being shot were surprised and said something like "now it looks like they are going to leave it at 0.6".

I think this is a situation that should be thoroughly investigated by an outside organization who has no connection to any of the parties involved. I think the SEC and obviously Jordan will do all they can to cover their butts. It would be interesting as to what might be found.
