Have a friend who played for LSU. He agreed the last call should’ve never been made but also that Turner should know better than to take that bad shot and was curious why Barnes didn’t go to a zone in the second half. He’s also a coach himself.

The last call was the worst one. When two players are going for a loose ball with time expiring in a tied game, just swallow the whistle.

That is what Barnes should do. I see where some other posters have said that Jordan didn't go into the game thinking he was going to cheat. I couldn't disagree more. Just let me call a TN B Ball game and I will prove it!

If he was a true professional then he would not call any SEC games which tells me all I need to know as to what Jordan's intentions were.

After the crap that came out about the officials in the Saints--Rams game in the NFC championship, I can't believe all leagues are not paying closer attention to ensure that this stuff doesn't happen.

But a few questions:

1. Aren't the BB refs affiliated with the SEC office and under SEC oversight for these games; and
2. What, if any, organization provides oversight and discipline to the refs?

I wonder how many times he called a foul in that game and how many were against Bama and LSU. I’ve never tried to look up stats on an official but I may try to run those down if no one has done it already.

This team, by now, has to expect they are not going to get the favorable calls, especially on the road. Take care of what they have control over. That sequence of events could have been a 4 point to as much as a 6 point swing in favor of the good guys. Knock down just a point and were not discussing overtime.

On to another issue for me is Tennessee's Achilles heal of LSU second string players (football now basketball) taking it to us with seemingly no answer. SMDH.

Apparently, you have no knowledge of the depth and breadth of LSU's team as a whole.

I used to be able to find a site that listed (with picture) all division one basketball officials, and it tracked every game that he officiated. It would list total fouls called but not sure it broke it down individually. I spent some time looking for it but can’t find it.

I am pretty sure he officiated two games against UK last year- one at home and the SECT final.

They were more aggressive because they were getting the benefit of the doubt foul-wise. The same scenario with Kentucky happened. When you're trying to go inside, but get hammered with no whistle blown, you tend to shoot from the outside.

How many calls will we have go against us at TBA against Kentucky? I am serious. I dont trust a lot of the officiating we are getting.

I've been saying this the whole time. His wrestling takedown was an F2 flagrant, and should have been an ejection. Reid's intent was malicious, and that was undeniable. I was shocked at that....that it did not result in an ejection. Wade's theatrics after that call tell me a lot about him, because my butt would have been on that bench thanking my lucky stars that my best player wasn't kicked out.

Calling a foul with 0.6 secs on the clock is all that needs to be said. Two teams fought hard and a “impartial” official decided the outcome. And no it was not an obvious foul besides it wouldn’t have changed the outcome but the official did. I just hope it drives this team to make a point and not get discouraged. But no way that guy should officiate another TN game. The trust is gone.
