I think things like this are supposed to make you stronger, right...if so, there's going to be quite a few Olympians running around VN...:):)

When things get out of sorts, you fall back on your core values and common sense. In my opinion, it's something along these lines, unless someone I'm not aware of is interested. Fire Jon Currie...he's not going to be able to fund raise moving forward... a walking pariah.

1. Hire Condredge, Fulmer or Blackmon as AD...you know, people who know the heart and soul of UT.
2. Hire Cutcliff or Miles, character disciplinarians to run the program the next 4-5 years to solidify the base. Will these guys get us to SEC Champ level? Who knows, but not much safer bets to get us back to respectability.
3. VN get behind whatever character individual is hired and put this behind us.

Hope its true for the sake of the fan base. Getting crazy out there. Does the program even have a brick mailbox anymore after the past few days? Hope the recruiting class does not set them back to much. Say what you want (outside of ending of last year and this year) Butch made progress with the program

Progress based on Rivals recruiting rankings?

Actual result is 4-8 and 83,000 for the Vandy game (and that's quite a stretch). He had the luxury of a down FL and GA, and some flat out luck. Butch Jones is the worst coach in modern TN history.

Agree he did not finish his career well and I never thought he was as good as a recruiter as some thought...better than Dooley though. Like others, always saw him as a stepping stone for the next guy.... not sure if that is true anymore

I do not care what skin color our new head coach has... all I care about is that he can coach, that he cares about our players and his assistant coaches, that he makes a connection with our fan base... and that our VOLS win more than just 7 or 8 games and go to the Kongo Bowl or Taxslayer Bowl each year. He needs to be hungry for the SEC Championship and making the National Championship Playoffs each and every year. As long as he is that kind of guy, I do not care if his skin is white, black, olive, red, green, Martian purple, or striped!

Go VOLS...
