Answer: Let JG Run Read-Option

Well and in fairness, Dobbs running ability was a sight to behold. I will never forget him pump faking an Alabama defender only to run past him for another 15 yard in his first real playing time. JG can develop but he is not a gamer like Dobbs was the moment he stepped on the filed.

How in the heck do you know that? The kid hasn't even had a chance to put his particular talents in running the ball on display....

That’s what bothers me about JG. Then again, both QB’s have turned it over.

I still feel like QD is the better option but this offense does work better if the quarterback can run.

I’m for keeping Dormady and changing the offense.

I don't know what to think. Seems our entire offense play is out of sync. Moving forward, all teams are going to load the box and spy a linebacker on Kelly. Take him away, and I don't know what we have, regardless of QB.

Before season, I was hopeful that either of these QBs could be top shelf, and needed good solid and consistent play to at least hope to make any noise in SEC. Both bottom tier so far...an so goes our team...on top of an average D. Hate to say it, but this is, at best a 7-5 team.

JG showed everyone today why Dormady is starting. And thats not a compliment to Dormady.

While JG just doesn't quite look ready to take the reins at QB, his perfectly thrown pass dropped by Brandon Johnson stalled what might have been a scoring drive. With that said , if we have a QB coach, why does Dormady continue to throw off of his back foot 75% of the time? Our play calling is also very suspect. Looks like new OC is over his head to me. Team was obviously not motivated and not focused today. Beat UGA and everything changes.

The kid has played against two of the worst teams in CFB. Name me a play that he did something good on? I have eyes Mike. I can see the differnce. Dobbs goes in against Alabama and is a gamer year 1. JG goes in against Indiana State and UMass only to have 33% completion percent of not lower now and what 10 yards running on 3 or 4 tries.

You can add the goody emoji but you cannot name one play JG has been good on against horrible terrible cupcakes.

JG didn't impress me at all today. He doesn't look ready. Whether it's the coaching or whatever, he just doesn't look ready. And stop with the Dobbs comparisons, Dobbs flashed his ability the first time he hit the field. I just don't see it in JG right now.

Edit: tell me one good play he has had and I will admit defeat. Just 1!

Well, mister--let me answer that...

1 good play was his throw on 3rd down and I think 14 yards to go that actually HIT #7 Johnson right in the stomach!

And the replay shows that Johnson was too wussified and worried about getting hit than catching that ball...

Are you serious? His best play was an incomplete pass? Hahahahahaha

You sir need a helmet! His best play went for ZERO yards. Haha that is rich.

Yes, I have already!!!!! 3rd down throw to that vagina, #7 Johnson in today's game.

JG has been inserted into games and forced to run the plays in a system that has been adjusted for QD!!!

Dobbs wasn't forced to try to run the same scheme that Worley was running when he came into the game against Alabama!

And I'm saying that we haven't seen CBJ and crew adjust the offensive scheme to take advantage of JG's athleticism...

If you don't get that I can't help you:salute:

Again you are saying that his perfect play went for a gain of NOTHING. No yards, no TD, no good pitch, not even a completion. An incomplete pass is his best play. I am pretty sure this the worst argument for a good play that I have ever heard.

Dormady = 187 with 1 TD
JG = -3 yards

You just cannot admit when you've been proven wrong!

Let me type it slow so you can understand....

The QB's responsibility is to put the ball into the receiver's hands so he can catch it...

JG delivered the ball PERFECTLY TODAY on a 3rd and 14 pass to #7....who dropped it!!

I guess your brain isn't also able to comprehend that QD put 2 throws last week right into the hands of receivers that would've resulted in TDs for us....and they dropped them, too....resulting in 0 yards and no points...following your logic...

Also--QD did throw 3 balls right into the hands of Florida's DBs that ultimately resulted in us losing the game....

I'm done with you.....

Come on man, it went for zero yards because his WR had alligator arms. It was a perfectly thrown ball for what would have been a first down. While I agree JG doesn't look ready to be our starter, Dormady isn't that much better.

Are we really to the point that a back up throws an incomplete pass and the fan base thinks it was a good play? My how this program has fallen .

I think if we had worked with JG on the read option he would be the best option on third and short yardage less than three. He does have an arm to throw it and putting him in there basically for a running play would be better than QD. QD is either hand to Kelly or try to throw it.

Even though Kelly was 25/101, Mass showed what happens when a D puts 8 in the box.
Leaves a ton of running room for read-option.
Dobbs is gone, but the read-option still works bc it gives the D an extra man to cover.
QD is a fine passer if given time, but this team is not going very far without a running QB.
Glad JG got his feet wet today.
He has the wheels to gash the D on read-option keepers.
Spread/slows the D and opens up room for Kelly.

you really think that will solve this problem...it's the team...they are not on the same page.

I tell u. When JG was in game players didn't give effort at all: no high snaps all year, he gets high snap. Trey smith blocks well and put one hand on DT when JG pass was blocked. B. Jones. Wide open on 3rd and long. And drop ball. Didn't even try to catch. Something just not right at UT. It was almost like it was a lay down deliberately by players. Set up to shut fans up. Clearly a change in team play once he stepped on field

Dormady is much, much better than JG right now, and it's not close. And considering how QD is playing right now, that's a HUGE indictment of JG.

Not at all. Just saying that if Gurantano played as much as Dormady does the results might be the same. It's obvious this offense isn't fit for Dormady since he has concrete in his shoes just like Worley did. If CBJ is going to force the spread option on this team, maybe he should give JG more snaps.

You're looking for ghosts where none exist. If you wanna say something ain't right at UT, then yeah, I'll agree. But the things you mentioned here as proof of what's wrong is nonsense.

Dormady is better than JG right now. They both played two of the same teams and one moved the ball some. The other went backwards. If you get on the field and crap you pants like JG has both times then you ride the pine.
