There can never be enough threads on the positive things surrounding our program. It's been far too long, so lets be sure to enjoy this.

For a little perspective on this class:

1. We've already surpassed the number of four star recruits from last years signing class.

2. A lot of people have claimed we're only number 1 because we have a lot of three stars, which is a complete joke. We have more four star recruits than anyone in the nation, except for Texas A&m (who shouldn't have room for a full class this year).

Anyway, these are exciting times. Enjoy them!

While I am ecstatic about this class, our average star rating is still lower than most other teams in the top 10. However I expect Hurd and/or TKJ to be bumped to 5 stars, and we have some highly rated prospects in the pipeline (berrys, bates etc.) our overall ranking will be even higher once our unrated players our rated and we will be taking 30+ this year.

Like everyone else, I am surprised and pleased with the fantastic job Butch and his staff are doing. I surely would be a lot happier though with some DTs. Maybe we have them locked up, and they just want to announce their decisions at an all-star game or live on ESPN. But, I would even take a 2-star DT.

It's a lot easier to keep a high average rating when you only have 8-10 commits. We have a higher average than Texas for Christ sake! Texas! This class is amazing.

Plus we still have some big name prospects who are going to make that rating jump, real soon.

I'll give you ND, but Clemson still doesn't have more 4 star or higher rates recruits.

Ok do the math

6.1, 6.0, 6.0., 5.9 and 2 5.8s for Clemson
6.0, 6.0, and 4 5.8s for Tennessee

But I agree, Clemson sucks. :good!:

Jackson just got his 4 star rating!

We are now tied for the most 4 stars with A&M!

Not according to Rivals. I think it was 1 5 star and 4 4 stars.

Ill see your not according to rivals, and raise you a not according to 247. Mich has a good class. I think it was four more 4 stars before our guys got some bumps today. We may have closed the gap, but mich may have gotten some bumps too.

Very excited about this class. My only concern is keeping them if we have a bad season.

Very good point. I think this is the one single factor that could change things for some commits. Don't think it will change for Hurd, Kelly Jr., Wharton, and the other legacies. However, on the other side, if we go 7-5, and especially 8 - 4 in the reg. season, that pretty much locks us in.

Remember though, many of the remaining 5 and high 4*'s won't commit until just before or on NSD. We might get 2 - 4 if our season goes really well, but the heavy weights will be the ones to load up on them. If we end up in the top 5 it will be an exceptional job by Butch and staff, but realistically, I'll be as happy as can be if we stay in the top 10. Just trying to be realistic, but inside I'm pulling for No. 1.

Ole Miss was 6-6 last year and still pulled in that top 5 class. It won't matter what our record is as long as we make a bowl these kids will stay committed.
