Another streak will come to an end Saturday...

That’s a solid streak. Due to work I can’t claim a streak like that, I wish I could. I blame that on my own poor choices. Maybe if I had been able to watch all the games over the past 20 years I’d be done too. No such luck. I’m still trying to go to, watch, listen to, or just get updates from those that are able to go to, watch or listen to the games. Maybe one day I’ll be able to quit the Vols. What a sad day that will be.
The last UT football game I didn't watch was the 1998 Arkansas game. I had to work. I quit that job and never looked back. I made sure to get a job that never made me work weekends.

The point of specating sports is the excitement and possibly that your team might play well and win. When this is no longer within the realm of possible outcomes then there is no point. It's one thing to show up to the stadium and cheer your team. But watching from home doesn't do anything to support the team. It's all downside with no upside.
Then why do they have TV contracts?

What I'm saying is me watching from home provides no encouragement to the team. I'm not supporting them in person by cheering. The only thing it does is hurt me. It doesn't help the players

For the first time in over 20 years I will not watch one play of this football game. I'm done watching games where the outcome is known before the ball is snapped. I am also done watching this program go into its 5th death spiral in 12 years. It's inconceivable to me that this team is no better and maybe worse than the team that lost to Georgia State last year. I'm not ready to get rid of Pruitt yet, but I'm also not going to witness another embarrassing nationally televised debacle. If UT by some miracle wins I can always go back and watch one of the hundreds of rebroadcasts they will have. I won't watch the team fall completely apart again. I'm done until it changes.

I feel you.....I'm kinda in the same boat but I will probably watch until JG starts...... well .....JG'ing.....which should not take that long. I am convinced he has pics of Pruitt with farm animals. Otherwise there is NO REASON for him to take another snap unless its mop-up duty. I am almost at the point of not giving a ratsa$$ and I've been a fan for many decades!

I stopped reading at the point where I don’t care what you think. That’s a lot of typing for you to poor out your heart like a school girl.
Give the pour guy a break. He just might have done a pore job of expressing his feelings.

I mean I admit, I'm just going to watch to see what the other QBs will do. Yeah JG will start, and unless he miracously plays one of his once in a blue moon amazing games, other QBs will get a shot this game.
I just don't understand what is the point of bringing out there JG period. Just lost snaps at that point

I’m not sure coaching is the issue. We have solid coaches. JG is the issue. Our offense is a parasite.

Im of the opinion that solid coaches have their QB situation at least somewhat figured out by year 3.

And apparently Pruitt felt the DL coach wasn't up to par yesterday.

You sound like someone who has never watched college football.

ANYTHING can happen. Yes, the odds are against UT. I will be watching with my colors on.

I agree. One can watch their Mama get slapped around so many times before losing it; (Broken TVs, windows, ect can get expensive; not to mention bail bonds and Attorney's fees)

So many emotionally unstable people around here.

I don't know about the emotionally unstable part. I just refuse to watch piss poor effort. It's one thing to be out talented but it is quite another to get soundly beat by an inferior team on paper at least in year 4 of a head coach.

AND all this is over a football game! It's hard to imagine getting this emotionally traumatized over A COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAME! Wonder what happens when life deals a REAL TRAGEDY?

Logical or not, lots of people do. I have a Bama friend that actually gets physically sick when they lose. Good thing for him he is not a Vol fan, or he would be in intensive care.
