She'd probably post in gramatically perfect Latin.

My dad is a recovering alcoholic ( 13 years sober- YAY DAD!) and alcoholism runs in his side of the family. I'm just not risking it.

I am not sure if I could go years without drinking. Not that I drink that much but I really, really do enjoy sitting on my couch drinking a nice whiskey every once in awhile.

Alcoholism runs deep, VERY DEEP, in my family yet I seem to have gotten away from that part of my family

My first warning was when I was in college and VERY stressed out about finals since I had two on the same day. Sitting in my dorm room, studying, the thought came to me from out of nowhere...

I NEED A DRINK

and I had never touched alcohol in my life. Except for the accidental swallow of beer.

My mom would not allow my dad to drink out of beer cans in front of us kids. When he drank at home he used these brownish- colored tumblers. I was racing through the house one day and in my family we drank after each other with no thought about it. I was thirsty and happened to pick up my daddy's glass and throw back a big swallow.

:yuck:

I THOUGHT it was water.

I have a drink or two sometimes to calm down.

I don't see anything wrong with that

FYI, I'm drunk.

Just thought I'd let you know.

BTW, I took about 5 minutes for me to type this.
