So, I'm trying something new. I've decided I'd give vlogging a go, and VolNation seemed like the perfect brutally honest place to get some feedback. A few things, though. 1) I know I'm fat, and that comment contributes nothing to future vlog entries, though I do appreciate the feedback. 2) I'm aware my hair is too long. I'm actually growing it out to make a donation to Locks of Love. 3) I'm aware I sound stupid at times. I made the mistake of making this without actually writing a script. That was a dumb idea, because I was unable to double check statements I was making. Because of my scriptless attempt, I make factually inaccurate statements at times, and I repeat myself quite a bit. Next time I'll use the teleprompter. 4) I am aware that I'm flapping my arms like a wounded duck. That covers everything I can think of right now. I'm fine with honesty, even when it's brutal, so tell me what I should do better or just tell me to give up. I can take it.

Thanks for sharing. I liked it. Sometimes you had some long pauses in there. But I thought the info was good.

Turn down the vocals on the rap or cut them out and play instrumental. A little distracting.

This. Also, I agree with you that it would be much better with a script. Lots of good info, just need to have a script written out for this kinda thing, IMO.

Good. I agree with the statements made about the background noise. You should be the feature, not sharing the feature.

Listening back to it, you guys are right. I think the problem is that I was familiar with the dialogue, so I didn't really notice the music. I also wanted to feature the music a bit because the songs are from The Browncoat Mixtape, which is about my favorite show. I think I was just a little too close to it all. Thanks for the feedback!

I agree with the others. The music is not adding anything, more of a distraction from your info. Keep up the good work.

Good job overall.By now you know less music is more.Dont look away so much from the camera. When talking about sport recruiting sites dont say rivals all the time. Mix it up with other ones or just say various sites. You did a great job. Most thimgs like this i dont enjoy but as long as you have good info I could watch all the time.Of course the next video needs to be on just Tennessee. Try to look a little more professional and it might help you land a jod.GBO

I appreciate it. I'm in school studying radio, television, and video right now. I'm about to work an internship with a radio network this summer. Of course, what I really want to do is work for a collegiate athletic department as either a sports information director or in the video department, preferably developing online content. That's why I post so much, create videos, and run my blog. I'm also the sports producer for our television and radio stations on campus.

For anyone who cares, my next series of entries is going to involve going game by game through Tennessee's schedule next season, breaking down the strengths and weaknesses of each opponent and picking winners. Look for posts to start showing up this week.

I usually assume everyone is as cynical as I am. I think that belief comes off as self-doubt sometimes; in general I'm fairly confident. Yes, it will be on my YouTube account as well as my blog.

Greetings Vol Fans

I have followed this site for many years. (Neyland Scholar and UT Grad in '76 - long before most of you were born, I suspect.) As a "prisoner" in Alabama for 35 years this site is truly a breath of fresh air for me.

I have not posted often and therfore cannot start a new thread. But I have been on travel for 2 weeks and have been searching all of the posts and cannot find anything realted to our summer semester enrollees.

Can anyone give old folks like me a glimmer of hope that at least some of our recruiting class has enrolled in the summer? I think that would be a great boost for the program to get them on campus and in class - but I have not been able to find any post that addresses that.

And before someone you decide to blast me for not paying attention, just point me to the post (and "suggest" I pay closer attention).

Thank you.

Go Vols!

This is the best I could do. There's a chance someone else will come along with better info, but it looks like only the EEs are on campus.

UT VOLS#1, UT Ghost Hunter

Thank you!

I thought this would be "big" news. My daughter is a senior at another SEC university (Thank God, not Alabama!) and started classes Friday, so I thought our kids would do the same.

Thanks again!

Of course im not the coaches, but I dont think Peters will play MLB and replace franklin initially since we moved DE Tenarius Wright there. I do think he will start and "replace" Jerico Nelson at ROLB since we probably wont be using a LB/S hybrid anymore like we did under the old DC. I think Highsmith-Wright-Peters would be a solid LB group

You did a great job though...that had to have been a lot of info to research. He's definately the freshman that will have the most impact...some of our jucos will too
