Another prediction of Kamara going top 20

His performance at TAMU is better than anything Reggie Bush ever did at USC.
Stunning.

Seriously? Lol, Bush averaged 8.7 yards a carry in 2005 with 3 games over 250 yards rushing....just stop. AK is impressive enough not to just make up statements and pretend they are facts.

Tells alot about our head coach imo. Should have been the feature back no doubt. Could have possibly been UT's all time rushing leader if he had been used.

Things that mke you go wow....................

Kamara is a Reggie Bush-type back--and Bush has had a productive but not great dual-threat career. I thought he'd retired but he actually played a little this past year (12 rushes, 7 catches), but at age 31, after an 11-year career, it seems like he's done.

Bush averaged 9.6 carries and 41 yards rushing per game over his career, for a 4.3 yard per carry average. 36 total TDs rushing. He only topped 1,000 yards rushing twice.

He averaged 7.5 catches per game for average of 27 yards receiving, with 18 total receiving TDs. He caught a lot of passes his first four years in the league.

He had a nice balance of catching with running, producing about 70 yards of offense (run and catch) per game in his career. That's pretty decent--and any back who can stick in the league for 11 years has done well and made a lot of money. Kamara should want to be used the same way--lots of pass catching, not a huge amount of running. He will want to be utitlized as Bush as been, balanced ratio of runs and catches--it will extend his career. And I'm sure that's what the team that drafts him will do.

I forget the guys name, but he is a draft analysis guy, and was on the Chuck Oliver show. He called AK the dark horse pick of the draft and projected him the end of the first of first of the second round! Said the dude can do everything, and has blazing speed!

Revisionist wisdom...didn't see much of it BEFORE the previous two seasons.

The scouts are finding out Kamara is a 3 down back - that's why his stock is rising.

Check it out:

Does anyone else get annoyed when the highlights from the same game are all out of order?

You cant justify those comments. He is paid what about 3.5 million a year to coach a major college football program. Conventional wisdom would think that maybe he should have saw that talent?

And he saw Hurd's. With a season more of experience in the system...minus personal drama. Shoulda could woulda...armchair coaches are undefeated for a reason. :)

Don't sleep on JRM. I think he has a lot more potential than most think. His injury will definitely hinder his stock and there is a possibility he won't be drafted but I think he may actually find faster success than the others.

Pros: Amazing closing speed, finds the ball, playmaker, quick learner/developer.

Cons: injury and size.

He is a little undersized but I don't think that would stop him from being an OLB and/or hybrid safety.

I'm not going to make a crazy prediction like D4H but he can definitely be the best one out of the bunch in terms of production.

Edit: damn thought this was the combine thread. Oh well.

Kamara reminds me of Reggie Bush... getting him isolated on the edge against an OLB is a good matchup with his speed.

Nope. Kamara is a way better inside runner with much better balance and leg strength.

Not sure where you're getting that. Kamara has been okay inside the tackles. IMO, he'll need some time before he will be an all down back in the NFL. I agree with your comparison on Bush except Bush was more agile.
He's not as complete as CJ Spiller was.

You had to be in kindergarten when Reggie played because that is down right blasphemy. Bush had one of the best college careers of all times. His whole Heisman winning year was literally a highlight reel. I never liked Reggie but I think they should have left him the Heisman. Little rant: Pete Carrol knew what was to come so he dipped. Left a dynasty in SoCal to the struggling Seahawks...hmmm...crook. 🤔

Bush was also faster than Kamara. Actually Bush was very fast period, low 4.3/10.4 speed. Kamara's no plodder but he's not in the elite category.
