Just for thoughts:

Proven offensive mind with deep roots in east Tennessee, being the son of legendary high school head coach, Bill Satterfield. He's shown what he can do with a mobile quarterback in the Walker kid at Temple. I know he's a head coach now at Tennessee tech, but would anyone be upset with this hire IF/WHEN Debord is let go?

Just my opinion, but this hire would be an experiment. If Butch moves on, he needs to pull a Dabo and bring in someone who is a proven OC at the highest level to take over, revamp, and win.

So, in short, yes, I believe many would have big problems with it and it would be inadvisable.

My problem is I don't see any proven OC looking to upgrade this off-season. The best OC in the league will likely end up with head coaching gigs somewhere and then these "proven" OC will be scooped up to take their places.

I know it's become the chic thing with Dan Enos and his success with Arkansas offense, but generally AMBITIOUS HCs don't tend to take a step back.

Marcus wants to be a head coach. It has been his dream for years. That is why he took the Tech job.

If he wanted to be a career OC, he would still be at Temple.

He's still trending upwards, correct? You think his next move would be for a higher HC gig only?

I don't think it will either but with his ability to develop quarterbacks I think he could have an unstoppable offense with Jarrett. I also think he would be a guy butch could go hands off with the offense and be a CEO head coach.

I know it won't happen but I can dream right

Stop wishing guys we all know CBJ is going to promote CZA to the offensive coordinator position because he wants to keep continuity with the offense and make coach CRG the run game coordinator.

If he could scheme an offense around what he has, just like Kiffin does, I don't care. I don't care if it's from the Dooley bloodline, just produce results and utilize the talent.

We don't know this. If enough pressure is actually being put on Jones, and he can see his multi-million dollar paycheck slipping away, perhaps he will actually go for a splash hire.

If he does not, he is extremely dumb and will be fired by the new AD after next season. Azzani can't even properly develop wide receivers it seems, what in the world would make Butch believe he could run an entire offense short of his own stubbornness?

Sacrificed that lamb because that lamb's offense SUCKED...with plenty of talent. Same players under Cut didn't generate another sacrifice.
