Another gun control debate (Moved from VA shooting thread)

The story is still all over the place. I just looked and Fox, CNN and MSNBC are all covering it. I think you're looking a little too hard for a double standard.

10 min ago MSNBC had Shark Tank on and CNN had Anthony Bourdain's stupid adventure travels. Odd time to change programming; in the middle of the hour.

Edit: sorry that was CNBC not MSNBC

Yes. Could not believe they were willing and able to talk. Her father said he had reservations but since the predominant topic would be remembering/honoring her life he felt she would've wanted him to. Despite their "courage" it's a little disturbing to even reach out to them on Fox's behalf. I don't think it's appropriate to approach them about being in front of a camera, at the site where it happened, especially given they're in the same exact scenario she was.

I just find this disgusting.

Just wouldnt do it. Not going to facilitate your 24 hours news cycle as a guest to dicsuss my child's murder.

Bad news. Megyn Kelly just interviewed Jorge Ramos about Donald Trump. You have to boycott Fox News too.

Liberals gonna hate this..just but ANOTHER shotgun...picking up a new glock Thursday.. :) I might buy an AR-15 while I wait.

I'm walking the dog so I missed it. I don't expect 24 hr coverage of the topic but I also don't expect Shark Tank reruns (despite loving that show). Charleston was practically wall to wall coverage as was the flag debate. I don't think this will get nearly the same coverage from any of the networks because it's not nearly as a hot button topic when the roles are reversed, that includes FXN.

Uh, that wasn't my point. My point was the difference in how the media covers it and focuses on certain aspects and leaves others out to fit their agenda (and how Obama and the DOJ salivate if the shooter is white but relatively quiet when the shooter is black or a Muslim).

It's been 2 yrs since I told my nut job wife I was buying her a gun and she'd learn to handle it properly, after being broken into while I was traveling for work. For some unknown reason I've yet to do it. I better get moving before I lose my chance.

So a bimbo legal analyst on CNN says race didn't play a role but she prefaces by saying "clearly he said that in his manifesto, but I don't believe it played a role in his mind. It was a mentally ill issue." They're not mutually exclusive. One can be racist and not violently act upon that racism. Clearly someone who feels the need to kill, over some perceived slights, is not 100% mentally right. Doesn't mean racism wasn't the root of his motivation.

I agree. He had a lot of racial resentment as a motivator, plus mental illness that rendered him unable to cope with it in a way other than violence.

I build them to run. 5W-40 synthetic motor oil helps a lot as well.

Brave man still. WASR's are like hungry whores on payday. You know an ak will always beat an ar in regards to reliability.
I love my ar's, but if the shtf, I'm grabbing my arsenal sgl 31.

I've seen his work, so that does make me bias.

Please take no offense to it. GV and I are friends, and I do trust his expertise on weapons.
