That is an increase but the population has also grown by 100 million people since the 60's. It is not some plentiful problem.

i dunno about you, but it seems to me that the people that think this is some far-reaching, plentiful (as you put it) problem, are mostly the same people who clamor against gun control, i find that rather interesting

This is number 22 in the last 15 years. That is way too many.

22 is not that many relatively speaking. If you compare that number to just the number of gun crimes commited per year, 22 shootings over 5 years vs. I don't know... 40,000 gun crimes per year (or more)?
