The farther we get from Saturday the more i keep asking where exactly did we quit and I have a very different thought than I have read on here.

Learning how to win, which we all agree is missing, doesn't always mean overcoming adversity at least initially. It also means keeping a focus when you think you have the game won. This is where I think we quit. I would venture a guess that after the fake punt that nearly every player, coach, and fan relaxed in thinking we had the game. I know i thought they had shown they were desperate. If the players and coaches did relax losing that competitive edge that would give some explanation to the turn of events afterward. In athletics is very hard to turn a mental focus on and off and I think we lost that edge when we assumed we had the game won. Another sign of a team that doesn't understand winning.

Interesting. Kind of thought so. Then, after we did not go up 2 scores, it was hard to get the juice flowing again. While Florida seemed to be energized by the IG and ensuing failed drive. They knew that they had dodged a bullet.

In other words, we got out coached. It's up to the coaches to not let your team relax and end up getting beat.

Fair statement...it's clear UT expected UF to give up after the fake punt fail. When that didn't happen, UT's offense shut down.

Keeping a teams focus during a game doesn't rest solely on the coaches shoulders. Sure there is some blame but it isn't all on the players or the coaches.

Absolutely. Football is a game of momentum. We just lost it.

I already put the points on the board in my head after the fake punt was snuffed out. "Ok, about to be 27-13...."

Honestly, I probably jinxed that drive by myself. I owe you all an apology. Of course, assuming a made extra point was probably the most unrealistic part of my fantasy.
