For those that agree with my pro-SEC standpoint, I think this year it would be huge for the SEC to go undefeated in bowl games. The perception of the conference strength has been challenged a lot this year, especially at the end of the season when the ACC ran the table on us.

Going undefeated in bowl season would essentially re-crown the SEC.

Baylor agrees with you. The most irrelevant of the big 5 conferences.

I say we go to the MAC and play MTSU every year. We can have a winning record in a crappy conference.

Is it possible in 2015 or 16 we might need FL to win a game late season for us to win SEC East? Or in 2016 or 17 we need AL to win a game for us to get into NC playoff?

I'm definitely sick of sentiments like this one from ESPN's bowl discussion:

" Missouri, the most successful program in the SEC division that doesn't matter"

I'd like the East to have a decent showing so we can start to shake the image that we play in the SEC minor leagues.

No way dude! I hope everyone in the SEC doesn't win a game ever!!!! I want our division to be the most pathetic division in all of college football!!!

I will always pull for the Vols first, then any SEC in a bowl game, and then any southern team.

I'd prefer if every SEC team (besides UT) got the death penalty and had to field teams of walk ons every year.

If you pull for a conference, you aren't a fan of a team, you're a fan of a conference.

Actually if you pull for a northern or left coast team over a good ole southern team, you have issues.

Here is my opinion. Who's says we have to pull for the SEC? I pull for 1 team and that's THE BIG ORANGE!! So what if Bama is in the sec. My preacher put it this way at church the other day.... The devil is in the bible so do I have to pull for him???

This bowl season has zero impact for next year in terms of strength of schedule. Recruit will not suffer if Bama loses. My hate for Bama out ways any loyalty I have for the SEC. Down with Bama!!!!

So you would rather have Bama win another title and be more annoying than they already are? I'm sorry, but Bama needs to go back to the sh***er and stay there. Im a big Ohio State fan in the first round of the playoff.

I pull for Tennessee and whoever is playing Alabama or Florida. If those two happen to play it each other I hope they both lose. And that's all....

Oh and in the playoff I would like to see Oregon win it all because they treated our fans well last year when they beat the snot out of us. They could have easily rubbed it in our faces.

TCU is curb stomping Ole Miss right now. We do not recruit against TCU so I am happy.

I'd say LSU & Ole Miss losing has helped Tennessee on the recruiting front. Furthermore, I would argue that, at this point, recruiting victories benefit the Vols more than a weakened national perception of the SEC hurts us.

Agree but Bama domination is killing the rest of us. I'm hoping they get what Ole Miss just got. We are looking at the changing of the guard. A Bama defeat would be the icing on the cake. :good!:

This makes no sense. I do not mind a strong conference. I only root for the college I grew up loving and from which I graduated. SEC pride is a salve for losers.
