I live 250 miles away and dont miss a game. This is my second year with season tix, even with last years performance it was one of the best decisions ive made. I usually lose my voice by the half. Cant wait for this game! Go Vols

Maybe some fans were still hung over from the Florida game. I know I was. I bet it will be rockin' for this weekend's game against the War Eagles(?), er Tigers(?), what ever they are.

The UT fans will bring the noise this weekend. GO VOLS !!!

I know some auburn students that are in DD that i was told is UT student section...how in the world would they not have that soldout..ONLY AU students can get in our student section thanks to swiping their student ID's after they purchase tickets...amazing how yall actually have paper tickets for students. Expect 12K Auburn fans in Neyland Saturday night

I was at the game last Saturday, and i know the weather and economy affect this, but where is the crowd at?? When Ohio had the ball, it was quiet enough in the student section to call my roommate who paid for a ticket and didn't even go. Something has to happen..

Solution:

Kiffin should do an "off the cuff, from the heart" announcement on air in a press conference calling out all fans to be at the game and to be into the game! We need the 12th man more than ever this season and it has disappeared. This message should be recorded and sent to all season ticket holders as well so they can listen in case they missed it. The NY Jets head coach Rex Ryan did it to pump up the crowd, calling for all fans to come together against the patriots since they own the jets' soul and it worked! The crowd was very loud, louder than normal and the jets won. I listened to his message even though i'm a titan fan and it pumped me up. Kiffin should do the same. What do yalll think? I'll hang up and listen..

nah....leave that for the off-season. the head coach should focus on the next opponent, not the attendance at a UT vs Ohio game. The crowd will get into it soon enough...hopefully that chance comes this season. Crompton might continue to hinder our efforts though.

performance directly affects crowd noise.

What fans need to realize is that crowd noise can directly affect performance . These kids can get the adrenaline flowing and catch their second wind if they are down in the game and the crowd is still behind them . It seems UT fans are the only ones who dont get this . Fans have more power than you realize but we have to be an army strong . Shame the person next to you to stand up and make noise (at the appropriate times). If the person behind you ask you to sit down , tell them to stand up and make noise . If you want to HELP your team , stand with them . Too many fans start pouting and point fingers way to early in the game . The team feeds off the crowd , I promise . whether good or bad . We ARE part of this team and we CAN dictate the outcome of a game if we are smart fans and stand with this team even when they are down ! SHUT UP when Tennessee has the ball and Yell until your Throat bleeds when the other team lines up for the snap . Be smart and Loyal . GO VOLS !!!!!!

Idiot...we have the same system. You print off your ticket and if the name on the ticket and the scanner does not match your ID, you don't get in.

The crowd was there for the UCLA game.

..and the crowd was loud at the appropriate times too. I'm sick of the the "well, I'm tired of complaining about the QB, so now I'm going to complain about the crowd" crowd.

If Kiffin wants a louder crowd, win.

If you're tired of the regal society or the blue hairs telling you to sit down, tell them no. They cannot make you sit down.

If you don't like the food, don't buy it. It's universally recognized as crap.

If you are unhappy with the hard seats or parking, well, can't help you there, because the bleacher seats have been hard since I can remember and there's always been traffic too.

I've always thought something like this, from the heart, on the 'tron before the game would be very effective.

Supposed to be alot of AU fans there, they bought up their allotment of tickets and then some.
I have heard this song before (last years bammer game) Neyland must be rocking.

I believe you're wrong. AU didn't sell their ticket alotments and they are for sell through the ticket office. Checked it yesterday and there are singles and doubles through out the stadium

do you think that they need to segregate the crowd based on age? the west side has generally had a lot of blue hairs... some of those are in the skyboxes now

srsly, put the ones that want to cheer around the edge of the field. if you want to sit, then you can sit higher up or on one side of the field

Agreed, after fees and taxes, the ticket is $81.50.

Couple that with poor play and you're going to have a lot of empty seats.

Right. For my wife and I it would be $163 just to get in the door, couple parking with that at probably $20 a pop, eating, and beer...you're not getting out of the weekend for less than $250 probably and that's just not something I can do on a routine basis.

There will be empty seats. Fact is, there will be until the product on the field matches the price of admission.

I only watched it on TV, but I thought the crowd was pretty stoked for the Ucla game. It's a shame the Vols choked it away. Actually, if the crowd is less than boisterous compared to years ago, one big reason is that the Vols simply have been LOUSY at home for--what?--about four or more years? UT has lost a LOT of home games since about 2005, so it will take much better football, and wins, to get the mojo back.

we were undefeated at home in 2007

Classy picture.

I'll be at both the Auburn and UGA games. I'll be rooting for an earthquake to erupt about midfield and swallow up both teams and sidelines.

That would be a week-long quake and three teams swallowed up
