I was at the game last Saturday, and i know the weather and economy affect this, but where is the crowd at?? When Ohio had the ball, it was quiet enough in the student section to call my roommate who paid for a ticket and didn't even go. Something has to happen..

Solution:

Kiffin should do an "off the cuff, from the heart" announcement on air in a press conference calling out all fans to be at the game and to be into the game! We need the 12th man more than ever this season and it has disappeared. This message should be recorded and sent to all season ticket holders as well so they can listen in case they missed it. The NY Jets head coach Rex Ryan did it to pump up the crowd, calling for all fans to come together against the patriots since they own the jets' soul and it worked! The crowd was very loud, louder than normal and the jets won. I listened to his message even though i'm a titan fan and it pumped me up. Kiffin should do the same. What do yalll think? I'll hang up and listen..

It's a good idea, however many of these fans might not hear the phone ring. I believe this is why UT generally sends messages through the mail.:)

Supposed to be alot of AU fans there, they bought up their allotment of tickets and then some.
I have heard this song before (last years bammer game) Neyland must be rocking.

Ohio game was the first game it wasn't rowdy. WKY was pretty loud, even though it wasn't full. I was on the field for the UCLA game and it was deafening down there, and I'm going to say this game will rival it. I see this game as a must win, and I think the crowd will bring it.

Like somebody posted in another thread, there are several reasons for the state of Neyland crowds.. it's going to take time..

The people who are missing the games probably aren't the ones who would be watching a press conference.

Just found out students can get tickets still. Each is allowed one student and two guest, so if you know a student, get a guest ticket from them. 70 dollars, face value. I've already got my 2, but didn't realize more were still available. Pathetic that they are IMO

a lot of people are probably refusing to pay face, opting to get them with scalpers... after all, you can get one for $25-30 around game time...

I have seen a lot of these threads about fans not showing up to the games and the visiting teams buying up all the extras (like the Bama game last year). What the HELL is going on down there?!?!?! Brand new staff, bright future and TN isnt supporting its team? When I was in school there was 105k+ at EVERY game no matter who we played. Please tell me this is just getting blown out of proportion. I watched the OU game on ESPN360 and was ashamed at all of the empty seats.

I'm not sure the Ohio game should be the measuring stick for attendance and enthusiasm.. With all that rain, there had to be a lot of people who decided to sit this one out. Had they known it would clear up at game time, I'd like to think there would've been a better crowd. I was there as excited as I would be for any other game, but just my opinion on what others might have been thinking. As for this Saturday, I think its going to be a wild night at Neyland. GO VOLS!

Neyland will be at full blast this Saturday. Its the prime-time ESPN night game, Auburn is in town, there will be a brisk fall feeling in the air, and the ORANGE will be glowing like ONLY Tennessee orange can under the lights at Neyland!

I can't wait to go to church on Sunday with no voice!

The 4th quarter of the UCLA game was as loud as I've ever heard and I've been to 120 Tennessee games. I was on the field and several UCLA fans were covering their ears. It was extremely loud. Ohio game was quiet.

Our student section is a joke. It's embarrassing we can't even sell it out anymore. And that is coming from a current student (my ticket is section E row 49). Please no one behind me tell me to sit down...I plan on bringing the noise.

Also, how are yall getting your information on how the tickets are being sold. How do you know Auburn sold out its allotment and than some?
