Are you sure it wasn't JEB Stewarts failings of Lee at Gettysburg also it's actually Antietam to the victors go the spoils that is why there is no USS Sharpsburg.

Gettysburg is a laundry list, Lee failed himself, Ewell, Hill, Longstreet..........The plan of invasion went down the crapper because of a shoe hunt.
