Wow, didn't see this one coming!

EDIT: I wonder if Harbaugh will hang in there with him? This reminds me of Peyton staying for his senior year.

I think it's pretty cool that he's gonna come back for educational reasons. SC was saying he would miss his professors. Obviously, he's the Heisman front-runner, and if Harbaugh decides to come back then they could be preseason #1.

Doesn't affect us any. Good for him. He may be missing out on a lot of money. This probably means Harbaugh is staying too.

Stanford degrees are worth quite a bit

Do you think it has to do with the contractual issues for draft picks or maybe the looming lockout? I hope he doesn't end up like Jake Locker did.

i think he believes he is a student athlete and getting his degree is important. he's an idiot.

Why? He avoids a lockout and the Carolina Panthers.

lockout or not he's going to be #1 overall with a guaranteed contract for a portion. next year there might be a rookie salary cap or he might get injured or he might look crappy and his draft stock will drop. there are worse places to be than carolina. what if the raiders have the #1 pick next year? or the bengals?

It's stupid. If you get accepted early to medical school-you go. Same thing here.

It's not like his parents are poor.

Luck is taking a gamble on a rookie cap on salaries but why in the hell would he want to go to the Panthers?

his parents aren't that kind of rich. and as i said above there are definetely far worse situations than the panthers.
