Andrew Butcher underage drinking

Well that is a pretty stupid thing to do. At least it's not another sexual assault charge. Coach Jones will jerk a knot in his butt. As bad news goes this is barely on the radar.

Way to go Andrew Butcher. Running around on a road and getting arrested will be a good lifetime story and learning lesson. Cops snuck up behind me at a party to get this same charge, would have been better if I doing something cool like Andrew rather than just being at a college party doing college student activities.

Yeah boy, great job Andrew that you somehow managed to not get plowed by that midsize Volvo on interstate 40....woo hoo, great fun, good times buddy. Why, what mom and dad wouldn't be proud??

Also, great job handling your business and showing the coaches that you're serious about rehabbing and helping your team and not being distraction a week before the opening game of the season. Yay Andrew! Great job son...bright future here on the Hill...but oh those great college memories you'll have one day.

The underage drinking ain't the big deal, it happens. It's the small detail of being drunk and running on Interstate 40. Can we agree that that's a problem?

Pretty serious IMO. He could have been killed or caused someone else trying to avoid him to be killed. When you think about it that way it's not much different than a DUI.

Why the fawk is this considered news?

Because WE have to know everything where we can dispense social justice from our keyboards daily.

I swear you cannot make a small mistake now days without it being known throughout the world in a second.

Was anyone injured? No. Did he cause injuries to others? No. Did he cause a wreck? No. Was the safety of others threatened to the point something happened? No.

The kid is 18. Kids are stupid and do stupid things.

Was anyone hurt, etc.? No. However, the arrest may have prevented a serious accident and injuries to him or to others.

As this is a football player on our favorite team, many on this site seem to excuse behavior due to his age. Underage drinking in college happens all the time. Underage drinking and running along I-40 does not. When people, including players, put their lives and the lives of others in danger, it is news and needs to be addressed. Thanks to the KPD for stepping in on this one.

I've got no problem with him drinking he had an injury in the summer that lead to him getting a RS this year. But, it sounds like he had a few to many.

With all the bad reporting these days and the unusual description of this arrest everyone is still going to be a complete sucker and take these people at their word? Some gullible folks around here taking gospel from someone they have never even heard of before, especially when you know the James White PKWY area.
