I predicted earlier that we would steam roll Elizabethton but I saw real quick that that wasn't going to happen. That is a very well coached and disciplined team. Much better than their record indicates.

I played against Anderson County at Finley Stadium in the first game of my high school career. Had a pretty decent game for a 9th grader playing nose guard at 175 lbs lol.

What a great game. Pearl-Cohn really could have taken this game at a dozen points! What a tough team. In the end the Mavericks out lasted them to claim the first football championship in the school’s history.
