After what just happened? All the money in the world wouldn't bring someone here to come away hating CFB for the rest of their lives. At least the one we have is pointing us in the right direction with recruiting...

Seriously what great mind would look at what they saw tonight and say,"I can fix this! I will leave my current situation which is pretty good and take over this... atrocity of an offense."

Blame the playcalling but this isn't Madden or some CFB game. If my player can't make the reads and throws 2 INTs early in the game then clearly we need to lean on the run game (which has been pretty good).... and then our true Freshman QB takes a sack at the 1 yard line.... blame the coach? was Bajakian up in the coaches box with an XBox controller making Dobbs do that? why not throw the ball away? that can be taught but you can't expect an 18 yr old to do that... and I bet you could take almost any true freshman QB, put him in that situation and he would do the same thing! At this time last yr he was gashing up HS teams and probably NEVER had to throw the ball away...

My point is that as a Vol fan you need to ACCEPT WHERE THIS TEAM IS RIGHT NOW. Another new coaching staff. A tough schedule that ran this team into the ground. And another losing season. Hate it as much as you want. But to want a change esp this early just starts the cycle over again....

This is so dumb. The whole vandy secondary was gutted and you run the entire time? Horrible play calling.

I don't think anybody is calling for Butch's head….they are just underwhelmed by what they saw tonight. I'd be upset if they weren't.

We are a very poor program. Have been for a decade. CBJ is unfortunately the best we can do. Even a UK loss would not give him a bus ticket out of town. In 5 years we may have 5+ coaches still on payroll!

Dead on.

Their gaming planning (2 weeks worth) sucked. The rest of the coaching tonite followed suit.

I have to say it's become incredibly hard to watch UT football. This Vandy loss was one of the more gut-wrenching experiences in my last few years of being a season ticket holder. You have to lay the blame on the coaching staff and Butch---I'm sorry I mean I'd defend any coach leading UT but the play calling was completely underwhelming. Vandy even gives you the courtesy of gift wrapping some turnovers. While we're at where is the variation in play calling? We were successful against South Carolina and Georgia getting Pig the ball on sweeps and stuff like that---well where the hell was that tonight? The fake field goal was completely awful...you want to pull that out in a tight game to swing momentum fine but in a tight game in a critical down and distance? Worst play call I've ever seen.

I do not get the conservative scheme on offense tonight. We were more aggressive that that against way better defenses the last 4 weeks.

I'm not calling for his head and I've been pretty much on the Butch train the entire season.

But at this point, he needs to show some significant improvement next season. I know this is a "process" and "brick by brick" and every other things he's said after every loss this year, but I can't see the "improvement" he does on the field. I know losing Worley has been harmful to the offense, but this team has regressed significantly since the USC jr game.

This game was UTs to lose tonight and they did.

Coaching staff stays. They're probably here, good or bad, for 5 years. Our situation gives them a pass. But I'm not buying that these coaches are a big upgrade over the other desperation, lower-tier hires we've made for the past six years. The proof is on the field. You saw it tonight... and last week... and the week before... and the week before...

Franklin is in his 3rd year at Vandy and will be taking his third Vandy team to a third bowl game in a row!!! Think about that for a minute....

In what world has Vandy's roster been better than Tennessee's in the same period. CBJ and staff got out coached by Franklin and company. It's unbelievable that we cant throw the ball against a defense with its full starting DBS were out of the game.....

Only an idiot would call a play like that during a tight game. Butch is not going to grow a brain overnight. Better just to cut ties with him right now.

At least UK has basketball

And that is what Kentucky puts all their money and effort into. Ours is supposed to be football, but the coaching staff, administration and even the local media has dropped the ball and have abandoned the fans who still care.
