Ole Miss. Just what it looks like. I may be wrong, but I see a lot going on there.

Easily Ole Miss.
Yea, it’s starting to look like, and it seems they could get a couple more. Where I’m from, they had a five star defensive player out of high school to commit. He is a defensive lineman from Lake Cormarant high school in Mississippi. He is very talented.

Remains to be seen. Sure ole miss got some big names, but no one knows how that will impact on the field results next season.

This too early to judge is silly. Nobody is saying it is going to pan out, but Ole Miss has been more successful in using the portal than anyone else right now.
Lane is a good coach and Ole Miss next year is going to be the most talented team he has coached. **** could get wild in the West.

There is no "West" next year...just a great big ol' SEC with the two best teams playing for dah ring. The scheduling draw will mean more than ever. But your overall point is well taken, the Black Bears have a weak schedule with 2 of their top 3 tests being at home, Sooners and Georgia, with their road test at LSU. Won't take a lot for them to get to double digit wins.

Yeah true that. I won't be getting used to that anytime soon.
Everything else was factual in regards to the team and his coaching. Good catch and I suspect they win at least one a CFP game next year.

If they manage it, it would be 3 ten-win seasons for them in 5 years under Kiffin. The man knows how to assemble a winning team and uncanny feel for QBs to lead it. I was a proponent of hiring him back when the colossal debacle of Currie/Schiano, Fulmer/Baldy Pruitt.

I want to get some perspective about Ole Miss' NIL with these portal players. For a team that supposedly has weak NIL resources, they must have really came through.

Probably making some strong commitments for a one or two year push.

They should be on alert if Kiffin is pushing for an all-in investment in the near-future. Means he is making his case for his next bigger job.

Interestingly, there seems to be negative correlation between a team's transfer portal ranking and a team's recruit ranking (or at least for the SEC). The rankings from 247Sports:

My guess is that the top-tier teams don't need to use the transfer portal as often.

He just signed an extension over the weekend. Because he left us for USC, everyone acts like he’s always looking for a new job.

This needs a lot more eyes on it.

It ain’t over yet. And you won’t know till end of 2024.

Loading up on a large number of 1 yr guys could pay dividends but it could also blow up. They’ll be the first to jump ship first sign of adversity

Correct. There will always be an inverse relationship between prep recruiting and portal recruiting .... and everybody would rather have the best prep class. I don't think it is a big deal that Ole Miss has the best transfer class.

... and these numerical ranking lists leave out too many significant variables, anyway. It's a very lazy and superficial way to interpret recruiting classes.

See man, this is why nobody likes you. You add zero to the conversation, you are just on the hunt for the error opportunities you can jump on. Since 2004 you have been irrelevant to the conversation.
You are also a day behind as normal. Someone else caught the oversight, and called it out, but still had something to add to the conversation. Not old "Junior" though. Just five words is all a caveman needs.

I am wondering what this adds to the conversation?

its like the people who bump a thread with a post complaining about other people bumping a thread.
