Positive side of what I saw last night:
1. Man that #11 really flashed last night didn't he
2. Saw Crouch in the picture a whole lot more last night even if he didn't make the play. The kid is coming on
3. Saw big #90 coming on. Had one really great play when he blasted into the backfield and almost took the whole crew down
4. Taylor improved somewhat but still not where it was at the end of last year but improved
5. Looks like the 2 freshman linemen really improving and thought Kennedy finally playing better
6. Both running backs were solid
7. Chaney even devised a scheme to help the running backs and they ran hard.
UPDATE
8. Sorry guys but I left out Mr. Bumpass......had a whale of a game putting pressure on the QB
Did I miss anyone else

I'll take your word for it. I was too busy waiting to see how we'd blow it.

Like your fire awaiting. I actually did see a number of improvements and the team did play better. The o line indeed gave JG more time, although he could not capitalize on it. Continued improvement like this is going to be the new goal in my mind for this season. Add a few key personnel changes and we are at least heading in the right direction. Moral victories indeed, but at this stage I’ll take what I can get

Watch the last play of the game on a loop...

They were individuals fighting for a win the whole game TAF....and honestly, some individual players made progress last night....
Just because people see some improvement doesn't mean fans are not feeling a lot of pain...
Still yet you have to give certain players credit for their play...its only fair

I don't blame the players. We don't have enough players on defense to finish a game right now. That is on the coaches. I saw a huge improvement from game 1 to game 2, but neither of these opponents could beat Vandy. I do know that no one gets behind me on that last long pass play and I am turning 70 soon.

I know. Its hard to understand. We thought the back end of the D would be one of our strengths.
Pruitt has a lot of decisions to make...but man I love to see those freshman playing hard. I think they are only going to get better and better. Watching the improvement of these young guys is what I always am looking for. Its what the future is going to be made up of.

I just don't buy it. Does Georgia St and BYU have enough players on defense to finish a game? Our worst players should beat their best players. I guess I am living in the 90's

Agree we are still way short of elite talent while we have pieces ....we just have pieces.....some fans don't realize that we truly only have handful of kids on entire team that would be on 2 deep roster of uga, bama, and lsu. Is there really anything else needs be said???

Have some perspective, sure the freshmen played great against BYU, but how do you think they will fare in conference play? This team will not win an SEC game. If we were in BYU's conference I would have some optimism.

They are not in D1 playing condition and several players must play the entire game because there are no qualified backups.

So BYU and Georgia St have better back ups and better conditioning than us? Still not buying it. Like I said our worst players should beat their best players unless we really have sunk that low as a program.

The players effort was significantly better. Unfortunately we need astronomical improvement in all areas.

Well TAF, IMO you are going to enjoy watching Mr. OTO, Mr. Crouch, and Mr. Harrison improving in those games..I thought Mr. OTO went from like a rating of 3 last week to about a #7 last night.
Bumpass really came on last night also. More so than Taylor IMO

How can S&C be a problem, when Pruitt stressed that when he took over? Superior conditioning is the one area we could excel with less talent, and we haven't even done that.
