And another decommitment

On the other hand, 7 of the Best 10 Recruits are still committed so the Glass is more than Half Full. Can't expect much better with the record this team has. If they go 5-4 or better it would be different. Winning makes a Huge Difference.

I don't disagree. I worry about the 2022 class. The instate 2022 class is absolutely loaded. In addition to watching this class implode before our eyes, bringing Pruitt back probably squanders next year's class away.
Hire a big time coach and they'll flock to Knoxville

Or keep they train wreck and they'll piss on the coach while he begs

. And we need to move on from this coaching staff

Should have pulled the trigger right after the Auburn game. I think that was the right time. Doing it then would have given us time to name a new coach and maybe salvage this recruiting class as well. As it is, I expect things to continue to trend down in recruiting.

Either we fire Pruitt on Saturday night after an inexplicable loss to a depleted Vandy team and leave ourselves without a coach going into the early signing period or we beat Vandy and end up keeping Pruitt leaving us with a lame duck coach going into the 2021 season. The latter will almost certainly have a negative impact on our 2022 recruiting. Neither case is ideal, but firing Pruitt and hiring somebody else would almost certainly help recruiting in the 2022.

Either they know something we don't or they are making a horrible miscalculation. I could see it being either of the two.

Unfortunately I can too. These decommitts got me thinking. I wonder if we are losing guys because they they know Pruitt is getting fired? I have repeatedly said that I think Pruitt is here until the end of next year. However; I am wrong way more than I am right when it comes to this team.

I don't think it is necessarily a 100% certainty that he is back, but it is by far the most likely scenario barring an unthinkable loss to Vandy. What I think is hurting recruiting right now is that recruits are starting to get the feeling that Pruitt won't make it past next season. Some aren't going to want to stick with a place where they don't know who their coach will be beyond next season.

The other thing is, specifically with Hudson Wolfe, the way the staff is underutilizing the tight ends is almost criminal. That isn't even mentioning how obvious it is that our tight ends aren't receiving decent coaching. A guy of Wolfe's caliber doesn't want to come here only to run block his entire career and be poorly coached. He's a big time player. He wants his fair share of targets and to receive good coaching.

Yeah they are being told by every team recruiting them that CJP is getting fired.
A lie but it should be true. I’d believe it if I was them

Yep that's what it is. Fulmer reached out to them and told them to decommitt because he's going to fire Pruitt. Totally logical and reasonable.

Why would a top recruit with NFL aspirations want to come and be coached by Pruitt and this staff?

Pruitt's body of work speaks for itself.

Vols fans are starting to decommitt in droves, just like the recruits
Thanks
