I could be wrong, but I don't think they ever approved it.

I think another company picked it up.

I thought the hold-up was that Will Ferrel didn't want to do a sequel, not Paramount.

I think it will be a funny movie. There isn't much that Ferrel is involved in that isn't funny. I don't think it will be as funny or as good as the orginal.

I think Ferrel is very hit or miss. Anchorman is in my top two and I really hope they don't screw ot up.

Thinking that Anchorman 2 will be as good as the original is unreasonable. I just hope the sequel is worthy of the name.

I can't believe Anchorman is already 8 years old. Time flies...

Agreed. I could watch Anchorman or Old School any time. Then there is something like Semi-Pro which I thought was terrible.

Yeah Semi-Pro was a flop and what was the name of the ice skating movie he did with John Heder?? That was not good at all. Had funny parts but that was the extent of it.

Anchorman is the funniest movie I've seen in recent memory.
Ive noticed Will Ferrell's best movies are the ones he cowrites with McKay who also is the producer. I hope they are cowriting this script too.
It's pure comedic gold in the first one.

Ferrell and Walhberg don't have near the chemistry that Ferrell and John C. Reilly have

"The Other Guys" isn't all that funny either. It has a few chuckle-worthy scenes, but overall it just felt like Ferrell was looking for a payday and phoned in his performance.

Eva Mendez was smoking hot though.

Semi-Pro, Blades of Glory, Land of the Lost...the list goes on and on for crappy will Ferrell movies. He has some funny movies like Anchorman but recently he has more crappy movies than good movies.

MOST people I know did not like Land of the Lost, but I freakin loved it. I think alot of people are split on Danny Mcbride is why....

Anyway, it was a stupid, hilariously funny movie imo.

I dunno I like semipro. From the jive turkey scene, S my C I'll murder your family tech, and if you see a possum..kill it... It's not a pet. I could go on but I did like it. Obviously it's not old school or anchorman but 5$ bin purchase worthy. Or blockbuster going out of business worthy.

Saw it in the new Johnny Depp movie 2 weekends ago. Even though I really don't think I want to see the movie, the preview itself did seem epic and get me pumped. Kudos to their marketing staff.
