Riverdale won 69 - 50 over Houston in Germantown, a 'well off' neighborhood outside of Memphis. They will play Memphis Central tomorrow for the AAA championship.

Annie had 15 points and the other two hayes sisters had 8 and 7 points. Alexander had 21 points and 8 rebounds.

Riverdale was only up 3 at the half.

For those who want to see Anastasia Hayes play basketball.... the Riverdale girls play in finals of the state tournament at 1:00 central time on WUXP.

Playing Annie sparingly but she is still affective. Usually plays like a blurr always going to the goal but she has been slowed by ankle injury. I have not seen a defender be able to stay in front of her to stop her from getting to the goal. She looked like she was playing about 75-80% yesterday.

If you see a girls on one side of the court and all of a sudden she is on the other side of the court! They are the Whittington twins (committed to M.T.S.U 2018)

Remember that team from Chattanooga. (Hamilton Heights ) our verbal comitt (Jasmine Masengill)
They played this Memphis Central in Nashville in tournaments called Music City. Hamilton Heights won that game by the score of 90 to 41 !!!!

Holly needs to have this team and its players on speed dial!!

One correlation between teams in Tennessee!
Remember that team from Chattanooga. (Hamilton Heights ) our verbal comitt (Jasmine Masengill)
They played this Memphis Central in Nashville in tournaments called Music City. Hamilton Heights won that game by the score of 90 to 41 !!!!

Holly needs to have this team and its players on speed dial!!

Interesting. Maybe HH should be national champs then, as Memphis Central gave Riverdale all they wanted....

I think Riverdale would beat either team most nights. Alexander and the Whittington sisters were not their usual efficient selves on offense today. Hayes is usually much more disruptive on defensive. Central had a few clunkers this year but also beat Oak Ridge by a similar margin that HH did along with being the team to make it out of Stewart Creeks bracket, a team HH only beat by 4. Riverdale beat Creek 4 times and only one game was close. Central is young and their play is sporadic. Central also hit from outside against Riverdale and were abysmal against HH.

HH (who was much taller) ( Jasmine and Balogun both six feet and Coradosa at 6'6"") they did not have any problems with their press and just threw over them and shot lay ups! Plus they could do nothing with Coradosa when she got ball inside!

The key to stopping Riverdale is Anastasia and I have not seen anyone stay in front of her on defense!

PS Jasmine did not play against Stewart's Creek (injured ?) plus the Senior (Hunt) shot about 100 times and missed about 90???? She has a pretty shot but was offffff that game?

I thought the Wilson Central game (which I watched) is the game Jasmine did not play in!

My mistake.... I thought it was Stewart Creek !

Was a great game! I was there to watch it. Good friends with Riverdales head coach. Also, the Upperman-Pearl Cohn game after it was good too. Upperman has a sophomore point guard (Levy is her last name) that is going to be awesome too.
