All good, I understand why some do not wish to have us here. I’ve always found it much easier to deal with fans who are upfront and forthright about being fans of another team vs fans faking it, or pretending/posing/trolling, etc.

Apology wasn’t necessary, but it’s appreciated.

Oh, and for tomorrow, GO VOLS!! I want y’all to beat Georgia sooooo badly. And maybe, just maybe, you have the offense to do it. Defense has to have the game of their lives too.

I've made 2-3 comments to that dawg guy in the "Attendance" thread and I too have regrets. That slobbering, face barking, flea scratching, board crashing, leg humping, trash can tipper overer won't argue back with me. I regret that and I'm sorry.

I've been pretty harsh with visitors to these boards from other fan bases: gators, dawgs, wildcats, brother-husbands (bama fans), and so on. And I've gone beyond good-natured digs, to downright hostility ('seriously gtfo' kind of disdain). It wasn't right, and I'm sorry.

Why did I do that? Well, one big reason is because there are a surprising number of trolls, also from those other schools, who pretend to be Vols fans on these boards. I despise people like that. And that will not change. I'm not apologizing to the trolls, not even remotely. They suck.

I thought of volnation as an orange-blooded private clubhouse, "members only" kind of thing.

But I got to thinking about it the other day, and a more useful analogy is to Neyland Stadium. At Neyland, when I run into a fan of the other team, I welcome them, ask how their visit has been, kid around with them, a little teasing but all good-natured. I want them to enjoy everything about their trip--except the outcome of the game.

And so why not here? Why not treat visitors the same way on vn.com?

Blinding flash of the obvious, right? I mean, most of you do that all the time.

Okay, so I've been a mental midget about all this. So I apologize. I apologize to folks like @Jaws and @bamawriter and @99gator and @Lawrence Wright and @LittleCat and @ZippyMorocco and all the others I've told once (or a hundred times) to gtfo. I'd like you to stay, and I'd appreciate if you could forgive my rudeness.

Not you, IknoxvolsI, you remain a troll and need to just die under a bush somewhere.

I also apologize to Freak, the mods, and my fellow Vols fans who have had to put up with my unreasonable stance. You're mostly better people than me (not you, Bearded), and this proves it.

What I got out of this is you think all those Gator fans, Bama fans, UK fans, etc. are girls, probably with cooties.

If anything, the Gator posters can relate to us better now that their program is spiraling out of control just like ours did 😬. On a serious note, the posters you mentioned all add to the entertainment value of VN and generate interesting discussions. As long as we continue to block Big 10 trash from entering I’m good.

Some act like the guy that over did on Friday and then are all like “my bad” on Saturday, but only after they are told of their behavior.

That’s why no apologies. I can only figure a few reason for them being here. This site is better than anything else they can find. Their team site asked them to leave, so now they’re here. I guess just 2 reasons.
