Why does everybody speak so highly of this guy? I know he has talent, but he has made as many mistakes and missed tackles as anybody on the team this year. He needs to quit trying to be Eric Berry and wrap up when he tackles.

They all need to learn to wrap up. It makes me sick to see those idiotic shoulder dumps they try to pass off as tackles.

:banghead2: He was our best player on D last week, what more do you people want, him to jump through a flaming hoop naked?

yeah but Janzen at least knocks the snot out of someone on occassion.. he is great on special teams too... almost always the first one on the tackle.. he has gotten better as the season has progressed..

Because he's pretty damn good?

He's by far the best DB Tennessee has.

I agree he was better last game, but for the season overall his tackling has been terrible. He does knock the snot out of people, but I think that is his biggest problem. He wants to make Sportcenter with every play. Just wrap up and tackle.

My guess is that his big hits are reminiscent of Eric Berry at a time where we need a player of his caliber. He is looked at to be the heir of a great former Vol, and he has shown glimpses of being able to live up to that pressure.

he almost put AJ Green in a coma. he's the best overall player in our roster.

THat's the problem. He is trying to be Eric Berry and he is not. Just make the tackles.

Kidding me right. This guy is in a new defensive system and is playing better every week. He got a sack and made big hits this week. Against LSU he had a pick and had a great game. He's arguably the best player on our team. What are you looking at?

I think he's trying to knock the ball out to create a play. I do wish he would wrap em up more often, but you don't create fumbles as often that way. On a side note, the whole secondary would be better if he had something that resembled a pass rush...

hmm interesting. I saw him miss tackles last year but he rarely missed tackles this year, and I watched every single snaps. he DOES wrap up whenever necessary, delivers big hits, intercepts the ball...what more could you ask for? there is a reason why the staff speak highly of him and nearly gave him a perfect score on some of our big games. he was incredible in LSU game especially.

He is the best DB UT has. What do you want from him? He lays the wood like no one else, hella better than Prentiss or Evans.

He's missed some tackles by not wrapping up during Oregon, just like everyone else on this team, however did you miss the LSU game? He played like a stud. Not to mention he laid the wood to A.J. Green( I actually thought he broke A.J.'s collar bone on that hit), and he hit UGA's QB like a ton of bricks.

I think he's a hard hitter, has great speed, and has flashes of a great player. He isn't very consistent. However, we are talking about a true sophomore.

I think he's great and will continue to improve throughout his career here. I wouldn't trade him for any other safety in the SEC. Not even Barron or any of the uf safeties.

no freaking kidding. NR and JJ have been great IMO. JJ has been very involved on special teams as well as a gunner. guess there is not pleasing some people.

Who's to say he can't be? He's growing into the position, and as a FS (not a SS), he's doing his job as a ballhawk and assisting in coverage.
