What "renewal" are you talking about? The "U" and FSU have played continuously for the last 25+ years. It's the University of Florida-Cowardice who continually ducks the 'Canes.

You're right, I'm thinking of when Miami joined the ACC and played FSU first game. I want to say it was 2005, but may have been 2004 and the teams played a highly touted season-opener against each other and it was painful to watch.

Looked it up. They joined in 2004, but the season opener that stunk up the joint was 2005. FSU won 10-7. Would love to call it a defensive struggle, but in reality it was just atrocious offense. FSU went 8-5 that year, though that was good enough to back into the ACC championship game and to earn a controversial BCS game, if memory serves.

what happened to football freak...almost scared to know

all 3 of his names were banned. he was trolling and got on GAs nerves.

he also made a thread asking to be banned for some reason. then a couple hours later he made another name which was soon banned by freak.
